‘Brad’s Baloney Blog’ Gets ‘Confronted,’ Charged With Sharing ‘DNC’s Aim’ of Pushing for Internet Voting!

Who Knew? Perhaps You 'Legions of Female Followers, Steeped in Swift Emotional Response' Did!

(I'm Gonna Have to Fire My 'Frontmen' for Keeping Me Out of the Loop!)

As we could all use something to lighten things up around here, and it’s so amusingly off-base, and it’s a slowish posting day, and clearly someone needs some attention, why not…

Some pseudonymous blogger named “Vigilis” with some blog named “Molten Eagle” has called me out. I am so wounded to the core by his stinging and ingeniously well-supported critiques and barbs that I just must respond in desperate defense of my once-good name.

In his item called “Confronting Brads Baloney Blog”, our man (I presume) “Viligis” instructs his readers (reader?) that “today’s leftist propagandists…refuse to stand and debate” before alluding to me (presumably) as “con artists and their ilk [who] shift topics as rapidly as possible by disparaging opponents with both charges of falsehoods and rancorous name-calling.”

“Of course,” our friend “Vigilis” ironically charges: “this is done without citation of the slightest facts.” (More on that in a minute.)

But it’s not just me of whom the anonymous blogger is critical. It’s you! You commenters! Especially you female commenters, whom “Vigilis” calls out not once, but twice in his amusing post:

Their meek, poorly educated (although most have been highly brainwashed) followers are incapable of critical thinking or even logic. Mostly female, they are steeped in swift emotional response…

Vigilis has taken Brad’s frontmen to task for positions that, rather than fostering voters rights, foster voting fraud. Yes, I have been called a liar and worse by their legions of female followers.

I have “frontmen”?! Cool!

But wait, it gets more tickling!

“Vigilis” then asks, “How can serious people behave so irresponsibly?” before dropping the most absolutely, amusingly ironic (read: immeasurably foolish) graf, particularly in light of his earlier charge that “propagandists” and “con artists” like us ply our trade “without citation of the slightest facts.”…

This would seem to be the heart of “Vigilis’s” concerns:

[M]y readers should be aware of the awful, longer term, progressive strategy that the Bradz are attempting to bring into being. Their aim (the DNC’s aim) is for anyone who walks into a piblic [sic] library, school or public building to vote online, right there, as often as they like. Just who would these “honest” voters mark on their electronic ballots? Take a guess and mark my words.

So there you have it. We’re for Internet voting, apparently! Who knew?!

Given some 5000+ articles and hundreds of hours of audio and video available here to draw on, you’d think Vigi might have used “citation of the slightest facts” or something to back up his silly claim. But alas, his article leaves his readers wanting.

Sadly, Vigi also “forgot” to offer his readers a link to our blog in his article, so they could try and discover the “slightest facts” for themselves somehow.

And of our shared aims with the DNC? Perhaps this is “Vigilis’s” first day on Planet Earth, so we’ll forgive him that he hasn’t had time to read much here apparently.

Hopefully my legions of mostly female followers won’t be too steeped in swift emotional response over “Vigilis’s” keen critique. We’re sure he means well. Or something.

By the way, since it might be nice to offer some kind of actual fact-based reporting in this post following up on “Vigilis’s” largely fact-free article, the readership of The BRAD BLOG, according to a poll voluntarily taken by 495 readers a few months ago was: Male (67.8%) Female (37.2%).

Oh, well. Looks like you gals need to get to work! And it looks like “Vigilis” may need to get back to the drawing board. Or the asylum.

(NOTE: This week’s “Frontmen Meeting” is canceled. I’ve got to get to the piblic library to start voting as often as I like right away, so won’t be able to make it. Can never get started on 2008 too early, ya know!)

Well Brad, you are kinda cute. Hubba hubba! (Sorry, but that’s the swiftest emotional response I can manage at the moment. I’ll do better after I’ve been steeped in a couple martinis.)

But once again Brad’s frontwomen seek to obscure the important facts!

Nowhere do you see on Bradblog a breakdown of the Neko/Inu/Usa distribution of the readers!

    WHY IS THAT, BRAD?!!!

This 811 AIPOCKY Skuld-and-Bowen Triliteral Omission conspiracy of silence will not be allowed to stand!!!!!!!!!!

(sorry about the delay in posting… had to run back and get more exclamation points… )

Thank God I’m the Patron Saint of Breweries and make frequent quality checks on their output, the sheer stupidity of Vigilis is enough to make anyone want a drink. The blog is infantile in a George Bush sort of way.

As a member of your adoring frontwomen piblic, I take umbrage at his snark about my swift emotional responses. If he had brains enough, he’d have swifter and more emotional and perhaps remotely cogent responses….

    TT –

Depends how generous and/or bored and/or otherwise short on blog postings I’ll be on that particular day, Texan 🙂

But you’ll have to come up with something fresh to draw my interest. Simple disparagement won’t do the trick! That’s old hat!

After learning that I’m a “CIA Interet Fake” and a “Zionist Taking Over the Anti-War Movement” and a “Pro-DRE Hindenberg of Egos” and now, have a bevvy of frontmen and emotional women followers, you’ll have to be pretty creative!

(I don’t have time to find the links to the BRAD BLOG coverage of the items mentioned above, but they should be searchable here. Good luck! And happy hating!)

    I’ll admit, I get angry.

I am critical of electronic voting machines that do counting.

I don’t behave irresponsibly, I behave the way I do because I swore an oath in the military, and I see our offices in government have broken their sworn oath of office, starting with Bush. The fact is if you take a snapshot of the constitution before Bush’s entrance and you take a snapshot of the constitution now, he has clearly broken his oath of office. Bush should spend life in prison for that. But then the democrats have enabled this situation as well. The military can’t take out Bush, because their oath is to protect the constitution and BUSH. (a nasty catch 22.)

Bush got into office because our elections are corrupt. He was NOT elected by the people, he was placed by the courts.

This is why I hate electronic voting machine manufactures who have created machines that count electronically, having an electronics background myself, I know about the physics of electronics, and there is no way that votes can be validated electronically.

As far as I am concerned, the people that push electronic voting machines that count electronically (invisible to humans because electricity travels at 3e8) are a domestic enemy. An enemy that YOU have also sworn an oath to stop.

All I want is for votes to be counted with public oversight, this is impossible with electronics doing the counting. This is the only way that Americans are going to get these “Oath of Office” breakers out of our government. In that respect I am a voter rights advocate.

As far as your claim that I am in some way affiliated with the DNC, your just making crap up. I have nothing to do with the DNC, and I really don’t care who the candidates are anymore as long as they do not break their oath of office. There are problems with democrats just the same as there are with republicans, and frankly I don’t care for either one. Furthermore the DNC has not stepped up to this issue about using unvalidatable electronics being used in the counting of our elections, and neither have the republicans.

Enough is enough of this crap.

ANYONE who has broken their sworn oath of office should be in prison for life.

This message is not getting out on the Corporate Media because they have BLACKLISTED the topic.

The reason I get angry is because of these oath breakers are destroying everything they touch. And I am not sure how much longer I will wait before action must happen to cleanse these oath of office breakers out of our government permanently.

I would like to be civil about this but if this goes on much longer I don’t see any other option but force to remove them.

The way to doing this civilly is to get hand counted paper ballots, and remove the money from election campaigns, by using public money to finance elections.

As far as my education goes, that’s really non of your business, you did not pay for it, and it isn’t available free, so shut your pie hole. It doesn’t take a lot of education to know that the corruption by these oath of office breakers has destroyed America.

If you think this situation in America is a joke your in for a rude awakening.

If my beliefs mean I must die, then so be it. What are you doing to restore the constitution?

Well here’s the link for Top -10 Nutcase (along with Stew Webb, Captain May, the alien lizard guy, et al) Fintan Dunne’s hilarious expose’ of CIA Fakes, which includes our beloved Brad Friedman, along with Bev Harris, Raw Story, and a bunch of absurd websites as well.

If anyone is CIA, it’s Fintan Dunne IMO, because he’s linking Brad, Bev, and Raw Story to absurd websites, thus attempting to ridicule them in an indirect fashion…for example, “UFOs, Lochness Monster, DRE conspiracies…”

I particularly liked the “con artists and their ilk” comment. At every progressive blog I go to, references to “people of your ilk” are made over and over and over again by ideological rightwing nutcases.

Brad, are the postings by Vigilis possibly emanating from Oklahoma? Just curious, as the style, the attitude, and the sexist comments about mostly female legions of followers are right in line with someone who trolls meaninglessly at another site I go to.

RE Blogs: On any given day, even here at Bradblog, nutcases do post. And some of them are women.

It is not very professional to conclude what a blog is like from one visit Sir Vigilis.

This blog has changed over time. And the subject matter focus changes from time to time.

There is no way to get a true appraisal from a quickie glance.

Like the blind men around the elephant, each certain they know, and each one wrong, Sir Vigilis gets it wrong.

One thing I know about Brad … he is skeptical of EVM machines. He is especially skeptical of networked EVM systems.

As most folk in the know are. But since I was ordered by a federal court recently, to do all filings via ECF, I pondered what it would be like to argue an EVM case to a judge who was convinced about ECF.

Something for EI and voting rights officionados to think about.

    ECF (Electronic Case Filing).

It is becoming more and more prevalent for federal courts to use networked case filings. Totally electronic, networked, online, internet, the whole shebang.

They may turn a deaf ear to the argument that electronic voting machines are ipso facto not safe.

Think about it. You will be arguing to a judge who has all the paperwork filed online, and telling him how unsafe this is. Yet in his experience it has been a wonderful success.

Where it might really ring hollow is filing the pleadings that condemn the electronic voting machine and that are filed on a system the argument is putting down.

Anyone ever use ECF in an EVM case?

Dredd said on 9/23/2007 @ 2:28am PT: [Permalink]

    More on ECF (post #23):

CM/ECF systems are now in use in 98% of the federal courts: 93 district courts, 93 bankruptcy courts, the Court of International Trade, the Court of Federal Claims, the Court of Appeals for the 6th, 8th, and 10th Circuits, and the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the 6th, 8th, and 10th Circuits. Most of these courts are accepting electronic filings. Almost 31 million cases are on CM/ECF systems, and more than 300,000 attorneys and others have filed documents over the Internet. Under current plans, most of the courts that are not yet using CM/ECF will begin usage by the end of 2007.

    (About ECF, emphasis added).

These trolls/blog contaminators are LEGION now.

I wrote about that and the proliferation of NEW, brand spanking new, hate sites that are proliferating in last week’s OpEd NEws, but no one commented on what I was writing .. I was trying to find specific examples of others who are experiencing that same boisterous, strident counterintel pro CRAP that is everywhere these days. I wrote to infowars about it all, too, and they said we just “have to live with it” as it is now a normal feature of life.

It would be reassuring to know (on some level) just how much dough CONgress put into funding all these festivities on the internet in 2007, certainly a lot of it.

Last year, it was all the “rage” to put out stuff against women (and make threats, too); this year it seems to be more intensely focussed on sites that have a good mix of both sexes. Trying to discredit and also to wreck havoc at some presumed infraction.

I do hope, though, that GOOD SITES like this one, don’t get taken off the focus by interacting with these paid nutcases. I just keep telling them that it’s their society, too; is this what they REALLY want ..?

It’s going to behoove us all to be aware and cautious of the new sorts of mindcontrol, propaganda, psyops, misinformation, counterintel pro in days ahead. It’s like we are already living in the War Zone,l with all its attendant dysfunctionality.

Gotta run, my paper ballot got tangled in my tinfoil hat ..

Did you hear the one when he said that the reason that democracy hadn’t taken hold in Iraq yet was because the Iraqi people are still recovering from the brutal rule of Saddam Hussein?

The U.S. military invasion and occupation of Iraq, the poorly planned post-invasion effort, and the brutal killing of at least tens of thousands of Iraqi citizens by our shock-and-awe introduction and its uninformed aftermath are not reasons. Nooooo.

Submarines are cool, and their crews are exceptional, even if they do have a tendency to be aggressively opinionated on the subjects they are allowed to talk about 😉

And I am far too steeped in my girly emotions to feel comfortable in such a friendless, vacant lot. I WAS curious, though, what “rampant voter fraud” Vig was talking about, since he didn’t provide a link or a citation… Oh, of course, silly me … Ann Coulter!!

Well, Brad, you sure took Vigilis to task over his remarks that the NYT gave MoveOn the discount rate for the Petraeus add. Especially asking V if he knew what the term “Open Rate” means. (the rate that you would be charged for running a single, one-time advertisement).
Of course, now the NYT has come forward and admitted they not only gave MoveOn an unwarrented discount (confirming vigilis’ account), but also violated their own policies regarding not allowing personal attacks to be ‘advertised’.
Now, of course, you (and you netroot comrades on the Left) are strangely silent. No admissions of fault? No acknowledgement that Vigilis was correct to begin with? No apologies?
    Typical.
