The following videos were all created on Thursday, September 20th at the Jena Six rally in Jena, Louisiana and in front of the prison in Alexandria, Louisiana. Sadly, Mychal Bell, the only member of the Jena six still behind bars more than 10 months after he was charged with attempted second-degree murder for a school yard fight, had his bail denied today. And the injustice continues…

Where they have tried to create a criminal justice system that particularly targets our young black men.”

…MORE VIDEOS HERE SOON…

Thank you Brad for being there and being a media outlet for this. I’ve been following this story for a good little while now and am pleased to hear that these guys are finally getting some help and the media attention they deserve. Some stupid white guy disrupts a forum (which was supposed to be over) and gets in trouble with the cops and it’s all over the news but when these six black guys have REAL injustice to them it takes months before it’s even heard about. Thank you Brad!!! I’m so glad to hear so many well known African-American leaders are there like Sharpton and MLK III.
I also wanted to add I look forward to more video’s from you on the rally coverage since I sadly can’t be there myself in person anyways.
Credit where it’s due, Emily. It’s actually Alan Breslauer whose down there covering for BRAD BLOG (as opposed to me).
Wanted to make sure he got his due! Either way, happy you’re happy we’re able to add to the coverage out there (or lack thereof!)
Hmmm… Surprised by all of bush’s Kompassionate Konservative Kriminals . . .
. . . anyhow Hell just another private exclusive organization ONLY FOR republicans.
I agree with what the Reverend Sharpton said on the news tonight (MSNBC-Olbermann). These young men, all of them, black and white, deserve properly measured punishments. So far the whites have received nothing and the blacks have received 100 times what they deserve.
Don’t forget neither side is innocent. The white boys committed a hateful crime and blacks beat a boy unconscious. Emily – I hope you’re not defending this.
The DA appears to be the real racist.
Correction – I saw Reverend Sharpton on Democracy Now
I watched democracy now on Public Access CH 17

Listened to Amy.
I don’t know what to say about racism in America.
A show of force, does get the point out. I wonder what it was like to get the free-speech zone pass for that event?
Oh wait.. They just showed up.
We should just SHOW UP about electronic voting too.
We need to show up for the WAR too..
You can’t change racists, but you can REMOVE THE CORRUPTION if you uphold your OATH OF OFFICE, and you have honest elections.
They = we
I am not a racist. (if there was any confusion)
If I am, then end my life.
Oh I see Brad. Well either way he’s sort of I guess a part of your website’s team right? So none the less you’re putting it up here for everyone to see. I thought that the voice didn’t quite sound like yours but of course I’ve only heard you a couple of times and on your radio show (speaking of which is that coming back ever??). I’ve been following this for a good while now and am pleased to hear more people are starting to realize what’s going on even if it’s not the total full picture. The fact these six guys were charged as adults when they were not adults is totally ridiculous and goes against even what every law student knows is wrong (speaking as one).
I know what to say about racism in America.
It has been around since the King … of England (a.k.a. “the south”).
When America started, the environment was heavy with the strong odor of slavery (an extreme form of racism 🙂 ) and the dems did not have enough spine (a.k.a. “votes:) to stop it on the spot.
Like the Iraq war.
They figured we could pull out our pistols and start taking out neoCons now, or we could wait for Abraham Lincoln.
Well, the wimps were
rightcorrect.Just UsJustice takes time and it has its reversals.I still love America even tho a lot of criminal bastards want the King to rule … yep, even after all these years.
Fuck them but don’t fuck up patient democracy in the mean time. That would bring on demockcrazy.
Love ya … dredd out.
