Today’s news brings more complaints and whining from California election officials. Last week I questioned whether Diebold could have got word of problems with their software in Florida then made needed corrections then had the software inspected and certified for use all in less than two weeks. Today, the report from Florida State University was released….

… wherein California State Association of Counties (CSAC) Executive Director Paul McIntosh completely lost it thusly…
“The veracity of any election — no matter what type of equipment is used — comes down to the integrity of the individuals responsible. County elections officials in California have always been, and will continue to be, above reproach.”
So… are the citizens of California aware that more than a few of their county election officials are functionally delusional?
On the Florida SAIT report;
Did they even fix what Hursti could do with this software ?
I have my doubts, at least there is a paper ballot to count
Dear Bradbloggers,
Sorry to go slightly OT but, like the election news above, the press release here ties in to the ongoing coup and destruction of our republic.
Here in Portland, Oregon we are gearing up to face “Noble Resolve”, a DHS and USJFCOM exercise involving a terrorist attack, possibly nuclear, here in Oregon next week.
Please help us get the word out by sharing this press release far and wide. We found a deeply disturbing amount of evidence, documented in the press release, that this is the drill that might go “live” as happened on 9/11/01 and 7/7/05 and as predicted by Chertoff’s “gut feeling.” As you may have noticed, there is a lot of buzz about another 9/11 style attack here in the states. Lately we’ve heard some neo-conartists express the ‘need’ for a 9/11 to “unify the country”. Seems that would come in handy to salvage their chances to maintain control and continue the coup as well.

According to Rove, the “turrists” do not like democratic or blue states, so take cover.
John,
You mentioned that
Not very likely IMO.
John,
Speaking of paper ballots 🙂 I wonder if Rome had paper ballots? The Inspector General of the GAO, David Walker, reports:
(London Financial Times, emphasis added). If so rejoice, because like Stalin’s world which had paper ballots, and perhaps The Roman Empire too, we will get our paper ballots and nirvana can’t be far behind ???? I mean the people involved in the election system don’t have much to do with it … correct?
Wired Is running an interesting couple of articles.
Vote On the Most Shameful Wikipedia Spin Jobs
(hint: Diebold removing all criticism and controversy about them. Many edits )
And if that doesn’t show enough patterns.
say hello to See Who’s Editing Wikipedia – Diebold, the CIA, a Campaign
(On November 17th, 2005, an anonymous Wikipedia user deleted 15 paragraphs from an article on e-voting machine-vendor Diebold.)
someone at the company’s IP address apparently deleting long paragraphs detailing the security industry’s concerns over the integrity of their voting machines, and information about the company’s CEO’s fund-raising for President George Bush.
..
A Diebold Election Systems spokesman said he’d look into the matter but could not comment by press time.

Correct you are! It’s those machines with their natural political bias that are causing all of our troubles. 😉

Damn straight. Every DRE interrogated so far has turned out to be a Republican… except for 1 e-slate that kept insisting that it was actually a Libertarian.

Yes, every election official (aka “the people involved in the election system“) questioned indicated that everything was fine, no fraud here, this is America and shit don’t happen here, move along now folks.
Incidently every election official questioned was a former EVM company employee. Or worse.
Most people can’t talk to machines 🙂 , so, I think the story ends at the questioning of election officials.
Ordinary citizens must replace election officials, and like dinosaurs, election officials must fade into the sunset.
That is if the age of fair elections is to emerge.
