   There is a great song about it with the lyrics “we walk the plank with our eyes wide open“, so they typify civilization at the moment.

   But we need to continue to be the insurgency.

   Phil Davidson has a masters degree in communications. I’ve simply never seen anything like that before. When asked about the speech, he said:

   “My speech last night — I knew it might be a little over the edge, but that’s how I felt at the time,” Davison said. “If it spurs someone to go on and say, ‘You know what, I want to go up there and talk like that too, I want to make a difference, I want to get involved in my community.’ If it affects one person in a positive way, then it was worth it.”

5. Ah, Thanksgiving memories…
   But what I’m thankful for on this particular Thanksgiving is an election (in spite of its byzantine, convoluted, and corrupt machinations) that reelected President Obama and so many great female politicians. Other things I’m thankful for are the tireless and stellar efforts made by Brad Friedman and Desi Doyen.
