Good luck with that! We’d hate to see ya go. [Hat-tip Immoral Minority.]
And, by the way, for those GOP dupes who point to that infamous — and extremely misleading — Red/Blue map of states as evidence of…anything, really, here’s a much more helpful map of what the U.S. actually looks like right now, such as where there are actually people and stuff, courtesy of TPM:

Given that one of the core purposes of the billionaire Koch brothers funded and controlled ‘Tea Party’ is the erection of a corporate feudal state of CEO masters and serfs/vassals/slaves (take you pick of descriptors), and given that slavery was outlawed by the 13th Amendment, the reason behind this second call in our nation’s history to secede appears to be strikingly similar to the first — the one that gave rise to a bloody Civil War.
As I recall, Americans decided whether states could secede during the period from 1861-1865. But I suppose their knowledge of history is as lacking as their knowledge of biology, climatology, and paleontology.
What amazes me is the lack of civil discourse that is going on now. After what went on in the 8 years of the Bush and Cheney years of lying us into the Iraq war, starting two wars then giving two tax cuts and putting our country into a deep recession, almost into a depression, people talk about seceding from the union. I blame Fox and the rightwing hate radio for dividing our country. There was a survey done a couple years ago on what was dividing our country and Fox Misinformation channel won hands down. It is getting harder to be friends with relatives that watch Fox.
The meaning of the word “intelligent” is going through some changes due to recent scientific research.
These folks could lose an IQ test on some issues to slime mold if they are not careful.
Ugh, Dredd. Those guys look like extras from “Wrong Turn.”
