5. The most telling line in this video is “Can’t let them build it.”

   It is a reflection of the process of dehumanization brought on by decades of anti-Arab and anti-Muslim cultural propaganda.

   As I previous noted, when America’s Eva Braun aka Ann Coulter was called to task for calling Arabs “camel jockeys,” Coulter replied: “Oh. Yeah. No. They killed 3,000 Americans. I’ll be very careful with my language.”

   I added:

   “Coulter’s conflation of the actions of nineteen 9/11 hijackers into ‘they killed 3,000 Americans’ and [Glenn] Beck’s obnoxious demand that a United States Congressman [Keith Ellison] ‘prove’ he is ‘not working with our enemies’ are but a reflection of what Prof. Zimbardo described as the ‘cortical cataract’ brought on by the process of dehumanization; a myopic inability to distinguish the actions of a handful of individuals from the larger, objectified “they,” meaning all Arabs, all Muslims.”

   I would respectfully disagree with Jeannie Dean, with whom I usually agree, that it is a mistake to discuss the shortcomings of wingnuts.

   Silence in the face of the fascist Tea Party movement cedes the microphone to the demagogues.

   In fact, I think it would be a very good idea for concerned citizens to begin staging counter-protests carrying signs reading “19 hijackers do not equal all Muslims any more than Tim McVeigh equaled all Christians.”

   Gee, Mr. Anti-American Values Songwriter Guy: if you truly care about the honor of 9/11 heroes so much, will you write a song about Republicans voting to deny them health care coverage?

10. That ditty is simple emotionalism appealing to racism, hysteria, xenophobia.

    I find it telling that the singer doesn’t mention the hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis and Afghanies who were murdered by American imperialism and exploitation of the 9/11 victims…or the right wing’s re-victimizing the families of the 9/11 victims by labeling them whiners and malcontents…see Glenn Beck, Ann Coulter and Bill O’Reilly’s attacks on the families of 9/11 victims.

Why is it that those who are screaming the loudest about Constitutional rights, and American values…are the ones who are trying their damnedest to change the Constitution and what the U.S. really stands for..such as religious freedom and equality for all….they would seem to be the most radical anti-Americans of all…adopt that same ideology that the radical fundamentalist “terror organizations” of the Tali-Ban, Al Qaeda, Hamas and other terrorist have…? we become them, to battle them…..?

12. Unlike the Islamic Center, this song IS NOT protected by the First Amendment. On the contrary, Conspiracy to violate rights is a Federal Felony as is INCITING OR ATTEMPTING TO CAUSE a conspiracy to violate rights. (Federal Statute 18 USC 241)

    (i.e. Organizing a cross burning is a conspiracy to violate rights. Writing a song telling people we should get together and burn crosses is inciting or attempting to cause a conspiracy.)

    Not only should Trade Martin be sued, but he and everyone involved in the making and promotion of this song and video should be indicted by a Federal Grand Jury, which I would personally love to see. Perhaps sitting in Leavenworth for a few years will teach them the meaning of the word FREEDOM.

    At least 59 Muslims died on 9/11 including children and pregnant mothers. The World Trade Center was attacked by Al Qua’ida. The Islamic Center is being built by Americans. Therefore, who is this “They” this song speaks of?

I thought the GOP (who were actually asleep when 9/11 happened) were the ones who had turned 9/11 into a mockery…by using it as a political tool and wedge… any way its not a Mosque..(its a multi-denominational community center with a basketball court and a culinary school) and its not at ground zero…there is nothing at ground zero, except a hole in the ground and a plague…why do some Americans insist on letting a foreigner and (Rupert Murdoch) FOX news continue to decide and drive the “important” political news and issues of the day….for them…?
