In case it seemed as if California Republican primary politics weren’t quite weird enough, “Queen of the Birthers” Orly Taitz has lurched into the breach. From The Orange County Register:
Laguna Niguel lawyer Orly Taitz, who’s gained a national following for efforts to prove Barack Obama’s presidency is illegitimate, has qualified to run for California secretary of state, said Orange County Registrar of Voters Neal Kelley.
In launching her campaign to be the state’s top elections official, Taitz is alleging that fellow Republican candidate Damon Dunn, a former NFL player living in Irvine, is ineligible to seek the GOP nomination. She says he’s committed voter and election fraud.
RAW STORY reports that if elected, Taitz plans to “use her office to pursue an investigation of Obama’s citizenship.” Insert your own punchline here.
If the Israeli-born Taitz receives the nomination in the state’s June primary, she would face presumptive Democratic opponent Sec. of State Debra Bowen in November. Bowen is running for her second term as California’s chief election official.

In a twisted way I would love for her to become CA Sec. of State, and the tears of laughter seeing Orly Taitz finally have to admit that Obama is a natural-born citizen would be classic. However, I wouldn’t wish her on any state.
When McCain was asked for his birth certificate, he released it rightaway. Why does Barack Obama spend over $1.6 million fighting the release of his birth certificate? What’s he hiding?

Obama put his birth certificate out for every one to see, he has been vetted more than any president in history.
@Dean – Obama has not spent $1.6 million fighting the release of his birth certificate. None of the “cases” have ever gone to trial and the birther “lawyers” have resorted to suing each other. That $1.6 million figure was made up by someone on Free Republic and the freepers liked it so much they have been using it ever since.
What ever happened to never say never?
We are living in the 21st century. Why don’t people think it is possible to create wars under false flag operations like 9/11? Or install puppet regime’s or Presidents.

I don’t want to follow the birth certificate story too much but I do acknowledge that it is possible the man was not born in Hawaii.

Again, even with me wanting to say that Obama didn’t produce a birth certificate, but a “certificate of live birth” (yes there is a difference), I don’t even think it matters with all the real, out-in-the-open-shit Obama and past Administrations have done. But of course everything does matter-some more, some less.

I always noticed this: in this clip, the announcer says: “…joining us now from Tel Aviv, we have Orly Taitz…” Why was she in Israel right after her case was thrown out? How come NO ONE ever asks this? I have never been to Israel, I don’t personally know anyone who was ever in Israel my whole life…and she’s in Israel right after her case was thrown out. Why was she in Israel?

First, the birth certificate that is online is NOT McCain’s. It is a forgery. McCain claimed in his book to have been born in the Family Hospital on the Naval Base, but the online document says that he was born in Colon Hospital, which is not even in the Canal Zone.
Second, McCain never showed his birth certificate to anyone. Not to the Senate, not to a court, not to a Senate Committee. And his campaign never posted it.
For that matter, neither did any previous president. No president ever showed his birth certificate before Obama.
In contrast, Obama showed the OFFICIAL birth certificate of Hawaii. The Certification of Live Birth is now the official birth certificate of Hawaii, and it is the ONLY birth certificate that Hawaii sends out. Hawaii no longer sends out copies of the original birth certificate, so it is the only birth certificate that Obama can show.
However, it is official, and accepted as proof of birth in the USA by the US State Department, and in Obamas’ case the facts on it have been confirmed twice by the officials of the Department of Health of Hawaii.

And Brian R., glad you question 9/11, but do you really think that somebody faked a birth announcement in a Hawaiian newspaper 40+ years ago just in case that baby grew up to president someday?

Faking a birth announcement in papers is not the only option.
And to be realistic, this was right around the time of Operation Northwoods and a generation after the Manhatten Project.
So to answer your question,
I do think that a newspaper article can be faked, whether it was faked then or now.
I also believe that another scenario is finding a Family that you can, or has on its own, disappear(ed). From there it is an old story of identity theft.
I am just not sayng it is impossible. Again, what year do think we live in? Drones are attacking civilians with operators thousands of miles away, 9/11 in broad daylight, JFK, etc.

What is funny to watch is people who THINK they do.
It’s clear Obama’s short form birth certificate is genuine and here’s why. The short form was released when Obama was still a candidate in the Democratic primary. The Hawaii Health Department has long been a full employment place for the families of the old-line machine Democrats, and those folks were Hillary Clinton supporters at the time. They would have had no reason to cover up a fake birth certificate.
One thing that never comes up in the birther debates is any mention of when Obama’s mom first got a passport. How come? She would have needed one to travel outside the U.S. (but not to Hawaii, which has been part of the U.S. since 1898.)
Sarah Palin never showed Trig’s birth certificate during the pregnancy controversy. But who cares, right?

After watching “Be Good Johnny Weir”, I can’t look at Orly Taitz without thinking of Weir’s “Viachyslav Romanov” faux-journalist character. I wonder if Taitz was the inspiration?

After listening to Orly Taitz speak, I couldn’t help thinking that she doesn’t sound like she’s from around here. So I looked her up.
Orly Taitz was born to a Jewish family in Chişinău, Moldavian SSR, (present day Moldova) and emigrated to Israel in 1981. During her residence in Israel, Taitz obtained a dentistry degree at Hebrew University. In 1987, she met Yosef Taitz who proposed four months later. Taitz lived for some time in Romania, Orly emigrated to the United States in May 1987, marrying Yosef in Las Vegas, Nevada; Taitz became a citizen of the United States in 1992.
WTF!?! SHE is not a natural born citizen at all, not even close. So what is the point she is trying to make? How is she more American than our, born to an American woman who met his father in the US -then born in Hawaii, President?
When will Orly Taitz be releasing her Naturalization Certificate fo public viewing???

I’d dearly love to know the same thing myself. If he was in fact a natural born citizen, he shouldn’t have had any trouble providing his real birth certificate.
Of course, since he doesn’t have one, he has to spend millions fighting every court case that comes up about it. I’d tell you to go ask his grandmother in Kenya what she has to say on the subject, but she conveniently died shortly after his November 2008 victory.

But Obama HAS released his official birth certificate, the Certification of Live Birth of Hawaii, and the facts on it were confirmed by the officials in Hawaii. As to the allegations that Obama has spent money on hiding the document, he hasn’t. None of the lawsuits were just for the birth certificate or just for documents. Virtually all of them tried to stop the election, stop the vote by the Electoral College, stop the certification of the election or stop the Inauguration.
man, running agaisnt her could be a simple call in campaign. She has been slapped so many times for being a fraud the whole campaign might take a day or two.
