Quelle Surprise! E-Voting Fails in France Too!

Share article:

Blogged by Brad from the road…

A study conducted by a researcher in France has uncovered that polling locations which use electronic voting machines exhibit a higher number of discrepancies than those using conventional paper ballots. Unsurprising to those who have followed the problems plaguing e-voting since its introduction, the revelation has fueled renewed calls for greater scrutiny of electronic voting technology in France.

The study was conducted at over 21,000 polling stations by comparing electoral registers, which voters sign after voting, with the total vote counts from machines and paper ballots in several elections. Discrepancies were found at almost 30 percent of polling stations that use electronic machines and only at about 5 percent of those using paper ballots.

More at ars technica…

The findings of the French study are hardly surprising to those of us who haven’t been ignoring the exact same problems for years here in the U.S.. The difference, of course, will likely come in the way that France — like other European countries, and decidedly unlike the U.S. — responds to the findings…

In Ireland, several years back, the country was set to go entirely electronic, until problems were discovered in the new e-voting systems and they were immediately and permanently warehoused and taken out of use even though thousands of them had already been purchased by the state. Earlier this year, in the Netherlands, e-voting was met with the same swift response once the failures were discovered.

In the U.S., on the other hand, similar findings — and far more of them — of the same e-voting failures have meant little, other than they should be lied about by most election officials, all e-voting companies, and then proliferated virtually everywhere in the nation.

Elections in the Autumn of 2008 will be determined via electronic voting machines which don’t work. By and large Republicans don’t care, and/or prefer machines that don’t work. Democrats remain in a state of near-complete denial about them.

I’m delighted to continue taking a few more days off from the nightmare. I should be back on top of things at some point next week. Though, frankly, I’m in no rush. This fall is likely going to be a nightmare, so I continue to get a few days’ breather wherever/whenever I can right now. Hope you all understand, and I continue to thank the good Jon Ponder of Pensito Review, and the other Guest Bloggers here for jumping in so smartly in my “absense.”

Brad, nice post. It’s fairly clear that the electronic vote counting has to go.

I want to thank you for your continued coverage on Clint Curtis. I never would have realised you two are that tied to the hip. I never would have looked into wtf really happened way back when.

I’m working hard on this story. It’s not really that tough to figure out. But I am sure 99.99% of people won’t be able to connect these dots without a bit of help. I mean, they’re capable of doing it, but without a nudge from a sincere, logical thinker, they will never realise the importance of checking out the internet past in order to understand its present condition.

The Curtis story simply doesn’t add up. It was never meant to. But this is where the double strawman comes into play. The people who expose these kinds of things are strawmen too. The AnonymousArmies and Fintan Dunnes of the world are obvious freeper trolls and spooks. Thus, people are prone to look beyond the discrepancies.

This is psychology101. The readers are given information overload. They are bombarded with emotional tirades about evil NWO neocons. They become so desperate for truth and justice, that their critical thinking skills are weakened. That is when any type of effective cult of the personality can do a number on them.

Hey, when did you decide to scrub the wayback machine? By doing that, it’s kind of a giveaway that you are trying to bury the past. You should have backed off of promoting Curtis, and you should have left the wayback machine alone, imho.

So it comes down to two possibilities. Either you have become so enamored with your success, that you are in denial over the many strange contradictions concerning this story and in fact with all the shenanigans that have been going on with election integrity forums….. Or, hate to say it big guy, it seems like you might have joined the company just like Markos Zuniga AND “Fintan Dunne.”

The truth is out there. I realise I am now on enemy turf. To you good lurkers out there, I am for real. Brad is either a typical Hollywood me first person susceptible to being taken advantage of and who refuses to fix his mistakes, or he is part and parcel of an overall script to defraud democracy via the internet.

A brave (the only) Boston talkshow host Lovell Dyett on WBZ (38 states) had Dr Jonathan Simon as a guest last night to discuss the failure of electric voting machines and effect on elections … A first for the Boston area. Judging by the callers he was well received. Wilbur even stayed awake . . .

I was correct about my gut feelings regarding a certain someone,(#2) unfortunately. This person could certainly mail you privately if he/she has questions OR wait until you are back full time.

Enjoy your break and I hope you are able to relax and let the troubles leave your mind. Get well rested for the unpredictable fall wheeling and dealing.

Good lord, Soc. Well, I guess be one of those “Hollywood can’t admit I’m wrong types” or however you put it, because I haven’t a clue how to “scrub the wayback machine”. Nor did I have a clue what I’d want to scrub it for since we have archives right here of everything ever posted or commented on, etc.

    But, oh, well.

BTW, if Fintan was a fake when he called me a “CIA fake” (whatever that means) and yet I really am partners with him and Markos somehow, I guess that makes me a fake fake fake?

Keep digging. I look forward to your findings and learning who I really am. A very very good use of your time. However, since you continue to hijack threads, I’m gonna have to ask you to post your detailed findings elsewhere, and link to them from a very short posting here if you must. I’ve tried, but I’ve finally got to start agreeing with those who’ve complained about you in this regard. Thank you.

You go to the wayback machine and try to get to the comments, a message says the links are blocked by robots.txt by the website owner. You can delete anything you want to from this place, and no one would be aware of it.

I hijack your threads? You hijacked the electoral integrity movement.

And you say you are good at programming? This has to be the slowest loading website in history with no pop ups for new links.

Where are the AnonymousArmy posts that you deleted?

The Clint Curtis story doesn’t add up, and you know it. That’s the gorilla in this room I finally got to. That story flies in the face of your image of crossing t’s and dotting i’s. But even if there weren’t questions about your “journalism,” it’s quite clear that you like to have a tinfoil comments section. You’re a rightwinger Brad. People can see a bit from your early days and see all the crap rightwing sources you used to link to.

The Progressive Independent says they are on a collaborative basis with Velvet Revolution. That means you are now officially tied in with Mike Rivero and subsequently with neonazi fakes.

    Carry on gatekeeper.
