As usual, another Democratic candidate is revealing a sour grapes conspiracy theory, claiming that voting machines were the reason for his loss, after alleging that hundreds of ES&S touch-screen systems failed to work on Election Day, turning away an untold number of voters.
Oh, wait, the complainant was a Republican, not a Democrat. And he, John McCain, didn’t lose, he won, in South Carolina where, CNN reported yesterday, the touch-screen voting machines in 100% of the precincts in Horry County failed to boot up and weren’t available for voters to use until noon.
Go figure. Other than that, everything is going very well, and anybody who says otherwise is unnecessarily crying wolf and causing a dangerous lack of confidence in our electoral system.

You are feeling very sleepy. Listen to the sound of my voice…
The machines are working. Trust the machines…
The machines are working. Trust the machines…
The machines are working. Trust the machines…
When I click my fingers twice, you will wake up feeling better then you’ve ever felt in your life.

What can we say? Told ya so.
“CNN reported yesterday. 100% of the precincts in Horry County failed.”
Tell you what, how about they prove they didn’t fail, and if they did, then hold a whole freaking new election. No? moving on are we?
Too bad CNN don’t make it to ABC, CBS, NBC, or FOX.
Oh well they’ll bury this story quick.
two weeks.. bye bye
Um … what did John McCain actually say about voting machines? Am I missing something?
I found this story in the Concord Monitor, in which Manny Krassner from the Kucinich campaign says he finds “nothing suspicious” in the happenings so far. UGHH! And I sent Kucinich money. http://www.concordmonitor.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080118/FRONTPAGE/801180340
On the other hand, it could be 12 polls and the Edison Mitosky (sketchy?) exit polls that were wrong. Which would mean that someone claiming to be “homeland security” that turned out not to be them, shut down the counting in Warren County Oho in ’04 for nothing. Because the exit polls were right and Bush won.
Oh well, Bloomberg is our next president anyway. He was in California talking about high speed rail with Gov. Arnold. That and $10 million ought to win it for him. Especially with Chuck Hagel as VP.
Also, Blackboxvoting.org has some interesting pictures.
Nothing to see here, move along…
Note on the DK lawyer quote:
That sure sounds like a quote taken out of context. There is no frame of reference give in the quote. Did the quote refer to the recount procedure or the difference in the offical recount verses the official count?
The article was refering to the “recount procedure” so one should very careful when trying to associate the quote with the “election procedure.” To do so would smack of dis-information.
Has anybody seen this!
Is the ACLU racist and stupid, or is it me? They are filing a lawsuit to stop the use of paper ballots in the Cuyahoga County’s primaries. Read this from The Plain Dealer, (click on the first story from Friday, January 18, 2008):
Wow! No wonder we haven’t been getting any help from them!
Is there lead paint in the ACLU buildings or what? How did they, of all people, become so daft?
Video to see for yourself:
You can find the video I mention above at:
http://www.madinhorrycounty.com/index.html
This is a new group who started a site just for Horry County, SC to address problems there.
I guess it’s not fair to blame the entire ACLU for an action that somebody named Carrie Davis took, but for crying out loud, that is the most condescending, stupid thing I’ve ever heard.
That, plus the fact that the ACLU has been conspicuously asleep on the voting machine issue since day one. Of course so has Common Cause, PFAW, and you name it.
Crying … Wolf … Blitzer … sounds like a revival at a religious convention … oh … yeah I forgot … that is what it is.
MSM evangelicals (a.k.a. “pols”) explaining Amurkan demockrazy to the paritioners (a.k.a. viewers) via trust-us sermons (a.k.a. propaganda).
We have seen what transpired last Saturday in the GOP primary with regard to vote counting.
Since there is another important primary coming up this Saturday in South Carolina. The atmosphere for this primary would appear to invite similar “events” that could contribute to an inaccurate or skewed result.
If there are any of you out there who can get to South Carolina with video cameras and the like to make as much of a video record as possible of this potential disaster, please do so.
The ultimate result of this primary could determine what everyone in the U.S. will have to endure for the next four years.
We are tied of all the frauds associated with family, look alike, rerun,act-alike used to market potential Presidential candidate. It is a time to stop these frauds and stop violators of US constitution and amendment 22 with an independent candidate, a true independent group with Mike Bloomberg (no necessary a presidential candidate),…. We need independent candidate to stand for our US constitution and values.
