The White House has quietly admitted that George Bush lied to reporters at a news conference on Tuesday when he said he was not informed by intelligence officials that Iran’s nuclear weapons program had been suspended in 2003.
On Tuesday, Bush denied he knew the program had been disbanded when he warned the American people in October that Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons could unleash World War III. Now, as we reported last night at Pensito Review, Bush press flack Dana Perino confirmed off-camera to reporters that, in fact, Bush learned about the suspension of Iran’s weapons program in August.

After taking a reporters’ question earlier today about exactly what the President was told, White House press secretary Dana Perino provided a response to reporters Wednesday night.
Perino stated Bush had been told in August that Iran suspended it’s covert nuclear weapons program.
“In August, DNI Director McConnell advised President Bush that the intelligence community would not be able to meet a congressionally imposed deadline requiring a National Intelligence Estimate on Iran because new information had been obtained just as they were about to finalize the report,” Perino wrote in an emailed response.
“He said that if the new information turns out to be true, what we thought we knew for sure is right. Iran does in fact have a covert nuclear weapons program, but it may be suspended,” Perino’s email said.
Perino also said McConnell told the President the new information might cause the intelligence community to change its assessment of Iran’s covert nuclear program.
Of course, Perino’s latest version of who-knew-what-and-when may well be yet another lie. New Yorker reporter Seymour Hersh said earlier yesterday that Dick Cheney knew about the Iranian program’s suspension as late as last November, and that he had “kept his foot on the neck of that report” until last week.
The White House has apparently been successful in burying the news that Bush lied at the news conference on Tuesday about when he was informed about the suspension of the Iranian program — and that, by extension both Bush and Cheney have been lying to the American public for months about the threat Iran poses to world peace.
At this stage of the game only a * retard believes anything that come out of his mouth.

The only reason we know about the NIE is that officials threatened to leak it and where willing to go to jail. They must have also covered their ass well enough that killing them wasn’t an option.
Remember how Bush said the NIE would never be released. Bush/Cheney have known for along time that their Iran allegations were lies. They’ve been operating under the assumption that the NIE would be kept secret and be no impediment in their march toward war with Iran.
Bush/Cheney decided to cut their loss and try to spin their way out of the situation as that was preferable to trying to contain leaks any longer.
We’ve been slowly backing them into a corner. Right now they are at their most dangerous since they have no way out except to initiate an false flag op that might scare up enough support to save their asses. Let’s hope they are smart enough to give up.

Another huge story like the one that they were illegally spying on us BEFORE 9/11, goes almost entirely unreported. Where is the goddamn outrage?! Walter Cronkite calls on us to rise up – we HAVE – and it goes unreported and we’re corralled into free speech zones and jailed for no reason, put on watch lists and no fly lists, tasered. Like the saying goes “The revolution will not be televised”. But that begs the question..if the revolution isn’t televised, did it really happen?

Impeachment is off the table, you know. MY dining room table has been cleared for that purpose since 2004 and waiting.
I heard interviewed on Randi Rhodes’ Air America show on Thursday 12-6-07 a Constitutional lawyer and Libertarian at George Washington University (trying to recall his name) that there is an agreement (I assume tacit) among both Republicans and Democrats NOT to impeach.
This requires that telecoms be immunized retroactively, that all lies be called truths, ad infinitum, Mukasey to be let off the hook — all in order to avoid having to begin impeachment. After all, if there is hard evidence of what everyone seems to know they’ve really been doing (and continue to do, today and tomorrow, and…) then Congress will HAVE to do what no one there wants to do.
Why, I don’t know. I can not believe the Democrats think it will hurt their chances in 2008. The interviewee referenced above (I believe his name is Jonathan Turley, and has a site called jonathanturley.org and please if I have that wrong, somebody help us all to the proper URL) declared quite clearly and sadly that this is How Things Run in the land of the powerful. Period.
I am 56 years old and some might say ought to know better, but I found this so disheartening and still can’t shake off the disbelief.

Well we all know George B. is delusional. One would not believe what is coming out of a psycho nut case anyway. So, why would anyone believe what is coming out of a psycho nut case just because he happens to occupy the White House. We should be helping our President with his problem. We need to see to it that he is getting the proper care that he needs; in a quiet institution with rooms having padded walls, nice interns with nice white suits, a straight jacket for those frustrating days…….

(Miller County, Arkansas) Two boy scout counselors, 17 year old Clayton Frady and 18 year old David Huckabee, the son of Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, have admitted to catching a stray dog during their summer session at Camp Pioneer in Hatfield, AR, and hanging the dog by his neck, slitting his throat and stoning him to death. ( How biblical of them . . . )
Camp officials, who did not report the crime to law enforcement officials, have admitted that the act did occur and have fired the boys from their positions. However, no charges have been filed against the young men. Arkansas State Police conducted a perfunctory investigation, but did not attempt to locate witnesses to the crime.
Now that sure ain’t huntin in my book. . .
