Today was the day of congressional announcements. It’s funny how things all seem to happen on the same day. First, on the Senate side, it was announced that Feinstein’s democracy-busting S-1487 will be heard in the Senate Rules Committee on July 25. This bill is so dangerous that even many Holt bill supporters are speaking out against it. Also announced today is that Congressman and Presidential Candidate Dennis Kucinich has sent out a “Dear Colleague†letter to ask Speaker Pelosi to stop the advancement of HR-811 so other voices can be heard regarding this legislation.

John, a couple of HR 811 supporters are extremely proud of this bill that they often brag they helped pass into law in North Carolina.
I would appreciate your critique of the bill. I dare say, it might even be worthy of a red and blue siren.
Thanks,
John
Feinstein et al are willing to sacrifice the very basis of the United States as a country. They are a disgrace. Apart from Dennis Kucinich and Debra Bowen who will both be recognized for their intellectually honest fortitude in history books, how did the United States end up with such corrupt, spineless, morally nebulous, intellectually drifty milquestoasts for leaders? In saying that impeachment for a criminal renegade fascist is “off the table,” speaker Pelosi has already demonstrated poor judgment, a serious lack of spine, and the intellectually wimpy markings that characterize American politicians today. I seriously doubt that weakling Pelosi has the good judgment and moral fortitude to listen to all of the voting integrity experts that Dennis Kucinich, one of the few American politicians willing to defend America’s democracy, and stop the advancement of HR-811. She rather appease backwards extremists with Medieval mind-sets than defend the integrity of America’s democracy.
Senator Webb added an amendment to the defense bill that would require any soldier deployed to Iraq and/or Afghanistan to be able to stay home an amount of time equal to the time deployed so that soldier could rest his body, mind, and soul.
RE: post #3
These Senators voted in favor of allowing the soldiers rest:
All dems voted for it, 7 republicans and 1 indy voted to give them relief.
