A new poll conducted by Ameircan Research Group finds that 54% of American adults want the US House of Representatives to begin impeachment proceedings against Vice President Dick Cheney, including 76% of Democrats, 17% of Republicans, and 51% of Independents. The same poll found 46% of voters in favor of the same thing for President George W. Bush, including 69% of Democrats, 13% of Republicans, and 50% of independents.
The poll also asked about Bush’s commuting of I Lewis Scooter Libby’s sentence, and found that 31% of Americans approve, and 11% would approve of a full pardon.
So what’s the hold up? Accountability awaits.

I just got an email from A-28 telling me that MoveOn has finally put impeachment on the table. They’re getting up a petition to impeach Cheney if he keeps stonewalling Congress… so maybe it really is “mysto day”.
I failed, had to close my eyes for a couple hours, but Live Earth is just fabulous. The Red Hots were so good at Wembley they woke me from my stupor to stand up and cheer. John Butler Trio at Sydney was transcendentally good. Spinal Tap just laid them in the aisles. Packed stadiums across the globe. Cindy Sheehan will be the straw that busts the demos back on this one. Her threats against Nancy are real and in my opinion the start of a landslide of similar challengers to entrenched democrats that continue to fail us by keeping a impeachment off the table. Impeachment is a winner politically.
What folks must remember is that Cindy moves from the heart and therefore her words ring with truth that most humans can descern for themselves. She also has twice the fortitude and courage of any member of Congress. She has done what needs to be done and has been one person that has made a difference. If we had 10-20-100 Cindy’s this war based on false witness would have been over years ago.
She is only marginalized by the blow hard bullshit of the right wing media and the criminal talking heads that fail us daily. The rest of us with brains and conscience know she is the real McCoy of conviction and dedication, precisely the mindset that is needed by all politicians. If a media whore is what is needed to end this tragedy then I’m for it.
Granted she has not always spoken exactly what everyone wants but too bad. Too many times our representatives are scared and timid and afraid to go out on a limb. Cindy will never be afraid and she will never back down, and you can be assured she will never suck up to the corportate machine. She will crush Nancy easily with the international and national finaincial support guaranteed to flood her campaign. Hell if she needs a home in San Fran I guarantee someone will give her one.
What more could we want for leadership? A mom that’s gonna kick Nancy’s Ass and scare the crap out of all other democrats that have failed to pursue the will of the people. IMPEACH FOR PEACE>>>THE ONLY WAY!!!!
When Cindy wins the Nobel Peace Prize all her friggin detractors can go to hell where they belong. My check books out for Cindy. And Nancy if she fails us, she might as well start packing because she’s toast.
