I’ll be on Bobby Kennedy Jr. and Mike Papantonio’s Ring of Fire today (Saturday) on Air America. We did a pre-recorded interview earlier this week, discussing Rush Holt’s Election Reform bill (HR 811) and the Democrats and their public-advocacy group supporters who have failed to ensure that the bill will ban dangerous, disenfranchising DRE/touch-screen voting systems. I believe it’ll be a very good interview if the bulk of what we talked about makes the edit.

Tune in to the live stream at 5pm ET (2pm PT) or check your local listings for when RoF airs in your hood.

Otherwise, I’ll try to capture it and update this item with an .MP3 afterwards.

UPDATE 3/11/07: I was able to listen to part of the pre-taped interview on RoF yesterday, and noted that they had to cut out some of the good stuff for time. I’ve requested a copy of the full un-edited interview from the producers, and have been told they’ll likely be able to send it to me on Monday. I’ll post that version of the interview here as soon as I get it from them.

  1. I’m glad to hear Brad continuing the fight for our democracy, this time on “Ring of Fire” Please keep fighting.
I honestly believe that we should have control of the house and the senate, and that they minulipiated the votes enough so they would be able to foil the democrats at every turn in the senate.
The shadow of these vote eating monsters looms over our greatest hopes for a return to a Jeffersonian democracy. My cartoon “The Monster That Ate My Vote” can be seen at my website.

this takes you to the specific cartoon on voting machines.

  2. I just heard some of the interview myself (had trouble getting the stream at first). Looks like they had to cut some of the interview for time. I’ll try to see if I can get the FULL uncut version from the producers and post it here when I do!

  3. I have a question for those guys Brad.

How is the qui tam lawsuit in Ohio going? This link shows that the white house regime is willing to politically manipulate what US Attorneys do.

Rove could easily order them to sabotage things, according to the implications of the link above.

Any word on the qui tam?

  4. Last word I had, Dredd, was that the AG had asked for more time to decide if they wanted to join the case. Standard courtesy is to allow them that time. That was a month or two ago, however, so I don’t know what the disposition of the case currently is. If I can find it out, however, I’ll try to update.

Also, I was able to listen to part of the interview on RoF yesterday, and noted that they had to cut out some of the good stuff for time. So I’ve requested a copy of the full un-edited interview and will try to get that posted here on Monday.

  5. Brad this is Mrs. Big Dan. I was wondering if you were going to cover the Encampment to Stop the War and marches that will be going on Sat. and Sun. March 17th & 18th. Big Dan and I are driving down to DC to march. We are bringing my daughter D and her boyfriend. With the anniversary of the start of the war upon us, we feel the need to help stop the next one. People feel so helpless to do anything but I’ll bet with a little research you can find out where the major protests will be around the country. You could help empower people by letting them know where they are and give hints on attending a protest. Are you or any of your people going to be in DC? We love to meet fellow activists. What are people doing on the West Coast for this horrible anniversary?

  6. Just don’t let Dan drive! He’ll get you all stuck in an alley.

The people in my tiny little town will be banging pots and pans and screaming for the occasion.

  7. Mrs. Big Dan asked:

Are you or any of your people going to be in DC?

Yes! You are! And I expect reports and photos! Wear your BRAD BLOG shirt!

  8. The “Ring Of Fire” show can be downloaded for free with iTunes and the show is up now, however, I hope Brad can get the full interview. “Ring Of Fire” is a great show to have every week.

    Big Dan’s mom is cool!

  9. Passing the Holt bill before the qui tam lawsuit would be a huge mistake, a “momentary lapse of reason” resulting in another tragedy for Democracy.

Wasting the integrity of our elections has now become a dangerous habit.

    BREAK THE HABIT!
