Brad,
If you have time to spare in Tucson…
Drive to the top of Mt. Lemmon – 7 temperate zones from low desert to high alpine Beautiful!
Gates’ Pass – sunset beyond the mountains and across the desert valley
Ah how I miss the desert winter… down right frigid on the east coast
This is the text of a resolution on HR811 that we passed out tonight. Since I’m using one of the Pima Dem PCs I’m going to use this as a place to “stash” the text, plus y’all might be interested.

RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF HR811-HOLT
AND AN AMENDMENT PROCESS
February 7th, 2007
We the undersigned are members of the Pima County Democratic Party, the Pima County Democratic Party Election Integrity Committee, Black Box Voting, VoterTrustUSA and other concerned citizens. We meet tonight at the Pima County AZ Democratic Party headquarters to review the latest information regarding this bill and the national election reform effort in general.
While we applaud the intent and goals of Mr. Holt’s election reform efforts, we are expressing concern that technical, administrative and accounting details of the voting process to be constructed under this bill were not thought out in enough detail. We are concerned about “chain of custody†issues, mandated releases of public records, the mechanics of the software transparency provisions, auditing processes and more. We are concerned that Direct Recording Electronic voting machines may not have recieved adequate scrutiny.
We are also troubled by the bill’s emphasis on involvement by the current Election Assistance Commission (EAC) – the EAC’s track record as elections watchdogs to date has been poor, and arguably worse than poor: enablers of bad practices and systems.
We ask that all stakeholders be involved in the drafting of the details of this vital reform process and we call on Mr. Holt and all members of the legislature to “take the details seriously†and arrange qualified input into this vital legislation.

OT: Brad,
Thanks for the links to those shows (Malloy/Pipe Fitters/Studio/PeterB.)
Believe it or not I actually downloaded all of them via a modem at 2.3k/sec.
That’s dedication man.
It was worth it. Some of the most important discussion there is in America is on those shows.
Jim #6
I nominate Jim March, John Gideon, and Bev Harris for commissioners of EAC. Its a natch.
As a Pima County Republican, you are more than welcome to come and speak to me and/or my employer.
