Blogged by Brad from the road…
As has been his practice over the last several months, the primary election opponent to vote-rigging whistleblower turned congressional candidate Clint Curtis was a no-show in a recent televised debate.
Curtis spoke about election fraud (vis a vis Tom Feeney), the Iraq War and the price of gas. Needless to say, he won the “debate” hands down.
With his primary election opponent, Dr. Andy Michaud, failing to appear at events across Florida’s 24th Congressional District, does this mean the good Doctor is giving up? Or is there something going on that we don’t know about?
The primary is September 5th. Should Clint win, he’ll be going mano-a-mano against the well-monied and impossibly corrupt Rep. Tom Feeney — the very man he claims had asked him to create vote-rigging software back when they both worked at the same software firm (even while Feeney was Speaker of the Florida State House of Representatives.)
For the record, Feeney is now the only Republican congressman who was with lobbyist Jack Abramoff on those golfing junkets to Scotland, now that both Tom DeLay and Bob Ney have dropped out of this November’s election. Feel free to donate to Clint Curtis as he takes on Feeney, one of the GOP’s top-tier money behemoths!

…but somehow Michaud will win…
Wow! Good one, Brad!
That was a great “debate”, wasn’t it?
Way to go, Clint!
Keep up the fight!
Remember, people said that Lamont couldn’t win! And they were proven wrong!
Ok, here I am again, plugging the fundraiser for Clint to be held in Seattle this Thursday, August 17th at 7:00 pm at the Seattle Labor Temple, 2800 First Ave. Clint Curtis will be there in person to show the jaw dropping documentary, Murder? Spies & Voting Lies. Bev Harris will be attending and Clint will be receiving the Backbone award for his courage to speak truth to power and his willingess to challenge corrupt congressman Tom Feeney. Once again I have to say, if we are serious about taking back this country and taking back our elections, supporting Curtis is an obvious choice. He is honest and he already “gets” the electronic voting machine issue. Come to the fundraiser, contribute to his campaign, and volunteer to phone Florida voters. Curtis needs the same kind of support Ned Lamont received. (Thanks Brad for the post)
Now, if we can just get Feeney to drop out, everything’s mellow.
No, really. If I were a Republican strategist, not wanting election fraud front-and-center in everyone’s minds, knowing Feeney is muddied by the Abramoff thing, I’d let Clint Curtis have this seat, and nail him in two or four years. Better to let the ones you’ve made seem shrill look shriller and the blobs of mush not muster a fight where you’ve employed the election fraud, than to buck a guy with this much on his side where you are this weak.
One can only hope that Tom Delay,.. Bob Ney,.. and Tom
Feeney get to share the same prison cell. Then they can spend the next ten years sitting in a big circle polishing one another’s golf shoes, clubs, and balls.
Where they can only dream of those glorious green freeways,.. and corrupt backroom deals that they love so much.
SCUMBALLS – they made shambles of our DEMOCRACY.
Clint Curtis (*sighs*) —- world’s cutest ex-Republican! Go, Clint, GO!!!
