Ginny Ross, one of our friends from the Election Defense Alliance, has posted the video of the beginning of the press conference from DemocracyFest last month in San Diego as the Busby/Bilbray election challenge (due to voting machine “sleepovers” with pollworkers) was just coming to light. Some of us have been anxious to see this ever since Ginny told us she was working on it. And rightly so. The video is a good one. Just click on the picture to see it.
For more on the press conference, please revisit Brad’s post of July 18th.
You’re more than welcome to disagree with me on this, but I’d say he did a fine job. Then again, what do I know? I’m partially frozen at the best of times. 😉

Yes, we really need “good luck” getting decent results from our true “faith based” initiatives that are used to govern our use of voting machines arcoss the country! – sigh! –
WP, you’re going to get the Anti/Ex smokers on Brads butt again 🙂
It’s ok, Floridiot. I’m one of those ex-smokers myself.
As a matter of fact, I spoke with Brad on the phone last night, and at several points in our conversation I could hear that he was smoking. Finally I couldn’t keep quiet about it anymore, and I said: “You smoke too much, Brad. I worry about you.”
I thought his response was telling. He said: “Thank you!”
It’s tough to quit, and I know this first hand. I’ve probably quit smoking 30 or 40 times. But I’m pretty sure we won’t hurt Brad’s feelings if we say we’re concerned for his health.
MVHO as always, but you’re welcome to share it.
Brad, Dood! Put those damned smokes away, for all of us who love you! It took 45 years of slavish addiction and a little stroke to get me to quit. Remember, every smoker gets around to quitting, eventually. Springer’s on Air America right now trying his best to be a goo coincidence theorist. YeeHaw!
Yeah yeah, I know I should quit too, but I always said you can’t live forever and smoking might cut down on the drooling time spent at the nursing home IMHO 😀
What if I photoshopped it out of there? Then he would ‘virtually’ quit? Or I could put something more therapeutic instead? How about a pencil with bite marks? The fact is, that is the only high res pic of Brad I could get, and the only one that fit the look of the original GNGL poster…so that’s the one I had to use. Some of you digital heads who want to come up with a non-smoking version of the poster should go for it and send me the result. 🙂
By the way, I can’t wait to show you guys the clip of the birthday cake someone gave to Brad at the DemFest. It depicts Brad in lil’ green superhero tights and a cape.
Bestest,
Ginny
Even exhausted, you come across cool, calm and collected, on the video. Take care.
Brad,
I just sent a check but I may not send another until you quit smoking. I know. You’ve heard it before. However, I am concerned about your health.
That is not tobacco BF is smoking kids,..
it is SHROONS. They are only used as a vehicular motif that permits him to unwind.
Keep sending them gold bars hidden under your mattress to Bradblog to keep it up and running,.. election day 2006 is approaching like a speeding bullet,.. let’s spread these words and messages far and wide. There are a lot more sheeple out there who must be converted to rabid progressive political wolves,.. so we can shut these fascists down once and for all.
(SHROONS – he is going to kill me for saying that.)
The train wreck is coming in November. Is anything going to happen in the Busby or McKinney elections?
My Dad quit smoking at 46. He is now the picture of health at 83 requiring no prescription drugs.
My younger sister had a massive heart attack at 52.
My wife’s cousin died of cancer shortly after her 50th birthday.
My oldest son is trying to quit now that his doctor has told him that his asthma is getting worse and he may soon require daily oxygen.
Sore point with me.
Good night and good luck. You know, of course, what Edward R. Murrow died of. Great newsman, great man, smart man…except… Too bad we didn’t have him around longer.
Be smart and quit smoking the f*ckin’ coffin nails, Brad.
Not another word from me about it.
Ginny:
The poster is perfect, leave the cigarette in.
Ginny #6 – you could twist up a fattie, but then I have an evil mind, I’ve been told…
I want to see a video, please. Thank you and all of this is good, but where is the video? and smoking must be very hard to quit, and I am just glad I never started it.
Thanks again.
Bonnie
It’s right there, Bonnie.
