More on the Phone-Jamming charges against (so-far) Republican officials. The matter now seems to be reaching into the White House as reported by AP:
The records show that Bush campaign operative James Tobin, who recently was convicted in the case, made two dozen calls to the White House within a three-day period around Election Day 2002 as the phone jamming operation was finalized, carried out and then abruptly shut down.
…
Democrats plan to ask a federal judge Tuesday to order GOP and White House officials to answer questions about the phone jamming in a civil lawsuit alleging voter fraud.
…
The phone records show that most calls to the White House were from Tobin, who became President Bush’s presidential campaign chairman for the New England region in 2004.
…
While national Republican officials have said they deplore such operations, the Republican National Committee said it paid for Tobin’s defense because he is a longtime supporter and told officials he had committed no crime.
…
Virtually all the calls to the White House went to the same number, which currently rings inside the political affairs office. In 2002, White House political affairs was led by now-RNC chairman Ken Mehlman. The White House declined to say which staffer was assigned that phone number in 2002.
Read the full story for many more details, but it should be noted that the White House hired Tobin to work their North-Eastern regional campaign in 2004 even after they already knew he was under investigation for the 2002 charges. He was only asked to leave his ’04 post once the reports of the ’02 investigation became public knowledge.

The republican dictatorship marches in lock-step.
Permission must be granted from "on high" for these things, just like in the Plame outing.
No surprise here.
Criminals do crime.
Heres more background and the actual documents filed in the case

Just another side-step to try and hide the larger issue
(the ACVR-Rove-HAVA thingy is the big one here, keep your eye on that one)
Real TV news is here, right now. Here’s the Apr 7 INN Report, 30 minute real news on TV, featuring an extensive interview with Mark Crispin Miller on the Stolen presidential election. The INN Report is on FSTV DISH 9415 @ 6pm daily.
The fight is over for real news on TV, you just have to watch it. Dump cable & get DISH. I haven’t seen LINK-TV or FSTV on cable. Funny…our local cable company Adelphia…they’re all in jail for skimming billions like the Enron big-wigs.
Watch this, at least for the Mark Crispin Miller Interview…

Business as usual for the GOP.
At least the AP is picking up on this. Hopefuly the momentum will keep building and the MSM will cover more and more of this corruption.
This is another potential "high crime and misdemeanor" if it can be tied to Bush, specifically.
No way the White House can rationalize 24 calls from New Hampshire in a 3-day period as routine political discourse. And Tobin stands convicted. What’s especially damning from a "conspiracy theory" standpoint is that all this took place in 2002, which strengthens the notion that the GOP was engaged in an ongoing pattern of election fraud, using a variety of tactics to steal not only the presidency, but state offices and Congressional seats, too.
Deliberate interference with the voting process is not a campaign tactic. It’s a criminal offense. The question remains, "Is Tobin going to fall on his sword and keep silent about whom he was talking to in the White House in 2002?"
Rove knew this story was coming out and did his pre-emptive strike, covered in the prevous story. They attempt pre-spin, when bad news is on its way.
