The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart pokes fun at Bush’s White House ‘shake up’ and exposes more ridicules Bush Administration deceptions in the process.
Stewart is not impressed with Bush’s pick for Chief of Staff:
In other words, he just gave a promotion to the guy who is in charge of our $9 trillion debt.
You know what? I really think if you walked into a cabinet meeting and started hurling your feces at the wall — Bush would name a state after you.

Wow, I guess that Jon was "in a mood".
But doesn’t the record show that incompetence is promoted in this regime?
Still, some republican pollsters say that it is a mistake for those republicans running for congress in November to distance themselves from Bush (link here).
Is that an accurate analysis?
I wish we could get a decent interview with hard question posed to Bush on TV! I recently saw him interviewed on CTV and it ws horrible – so soft. I emailed COA News http://coanews.org to see if they can do this. They provide video online. If anyone is into online video they offer a Free “Video Alert Service”. Once a week, they send email subscribers their latest news videos for free. Through-out the week they scan their list of independent media affiliates and feature the best independent news and public affairs video available.

The thing is, a 9 trillion dollar debt is not ‘incompetence’ to these folks. It’s their ideology, and they always have their bailout plan.
I’ll see this Stewart episode this evening – wouldn’t miss it! And yes, BVac, "they" are on a plane above, "they" occupy a different universe, "they" needn’t bother their privileged little heads about things like money and "is there enough?" Bankrupting the commons is a vile and sinister strategy for dealing with unruly constitutional democracy, but "their" logic is not ours and "their" aims are far too esoteric and ghastly for most people to be able to confront them straight on.
CA-50: Kaloogian’s little lie exposed

Reason 3,445,646 why I love Daily Kos:
1. Howard Kallogian, a Republican candidate in the CA-50 special election, posts this picture, which he claims he took in Bahgdad:
(to see the picture and story, go to the dailykos-it’s pretty funny.)
It gets funnier! If you go to Kaloogian’s website, he has taken the phony photo off and replaced it with a photo of downtown bahgdad apparently taken from a hotel balcony with very little detail (no people) as proof of how the media is not showing how good things really are! What a dweeb!
