Apparently, they used a poster sized picture of this now infamous picture in the Senate yesterday.
This guitar deserves to be in the Smithsonian (right beside Nero’s fiddle, of course) as a reminder of America’s darkest days. The question is, how much darker will it get?
Looks to me like it’s either a botched job of some kind of ~M7b5 (give or take a degree or two), or an inconspicuous plot to flip-off Americans…or is it only journalists? Perhaps just photographers? For someone who brought up the point of alternative fuels, I think his discussion point was dead on target especially for a republican. Kraig brought up the reality of Ethanol, and even though its a perfect alternative it doesn’t burn nearly as efficiently as vegetable oil. As someone pointed out it would be an immediate and workable alternative.
Bio-Diesel fuels are a reality because of Vegetable Oil so I don’t see why not. It really is time to clean up the mess, and take out the entire cancer and probably throw out the 15% of america who rely on oil companies…..
CHANGE needs to happen today, and right now not tomorrow and not next year and there will be NO next time if we don’t get off of it now, the disasters piling up are going to wipe out multiple states. This year alone, is the year of global warming.
So there’s THREE things to do that MUST be done and must be constant:
Call for impeachments/resignations nonstop and hammer away at the Congress&Senate to keep the discussion, get the momentum moving. Especially congress like Chris Shays, Mark Foley, Jon Kyl, John Conyers, Dan Lungren and Walter Jones, Lynn Woolsey who are all fed up with the Bush Admin.

I’m about as far from being a Republican as you can get. The Democratic Party itself isn’t left-leaning enough for me. I’m more of a proletarian socialist. The guy just to the left of me is Leon Trotsky.
Oh, good for you then. I’m actually a progressive so I wouldn’t label myself as republican or democrat.
But there’s alot of republicans who are screaming about alternative fuels now too, and I think they are good to come with this idea. It has to be done. We can’t keep on the Tom-Delay big oil corrupt bandwagon any longer, Global Warming is hitting the country far too fast and seriously.

Doug, you don’t mean that ! Willie is the best old reprobate around..He started farm aid in the Midwest when the farmers were struggeling.
Real good guy, you would like him and his music whether you enjoy country music or not. Willie has been around along time. The IRS went after him not too long ago and the farmers sent him money to help pay the bill. Now these were small time farmers not the corporations now adays, the ones that always help out a neighbor.
I mean, doesn’t this huge horrible disaster sharply bring out the need for either 1. real wealth redistribution in America or 2. an honest admittance by the government that a fair shake in life isn’t really what America’s all about and the said government shutting the fuck up about America being the "land of opportunity"? Like Stan Goff said, it’s time to pick up where Dr. King left off and make a Poor Peoples’ March and Campaign a reality. I mean hundreds of thousands of every race and type of Americans as long as we are poor, to include working poor. Everyone camping out on the National Mall like its 1968 all over again. In front of the Capitol Building, surround it and stand or sit down, just BE and make the presence felt. Camp out around the White House and refuse to leave. And we don’t leave until the bastards in charge leave, permanantly. Half a million, 700,000 or a million people, what are they going to do? Arrest all of us? No way. Try to put it down militarily and have it turn into a bloodbath if some of the protesters are armed for self-defense? They’d be disabused of that really quick. Do it just like they did it in Bolivia a few months back, civil disobedience starting with shutting down the transportation network so the economy grinds to a halt and converging on the physical centers of power until all the "golden pheasants" flee the coop into exile at least. Bolivia is a good microcosm of a model for this. Or the People Power movement in the Philippines.

Basilica said soldiers who’d volunteered for hurricane relief work would be sent home next. The rest of the 2,500-person brigade is scheduled to return to Louisiana between Sept. 20 and Sept. 23.
Basilica said returning troops would be given the choice of remaining on state active duty or returning to their civilian lives. About 800 have expressed interest in serving in some capacity when they return, the general said. Another 1,500 have said they plan to return to their civilian lives and the rest remain undecided, he said."

Debit card plan scrapped, citizens will now receive bank donations after filling out paperwork
WASHINGTON – The nation’s relief agency said Friday it will discontinue its program to distribute debit cards worth up to $2,000 to hurricane victims, two days after hastily announcing the novel plan to provide quick relief.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency said it will scrap the program once officials finish distributing cards this weekend at shelters in Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, where many of the evacuees were moved. No cards will be issued to victims in other states.
Hurricane victims at other locations will have to apply for expedited aid through the agency’s traditional route – filling out information on FEMA’s Web site to receive direct bank deposits, FEMA spokeswoman Natalie Rule said.
However, the bribes are "political" and meant to prevent an uprising in front of the White House. Basically, everyone will get free money if they can stop talking badly about the bush administration.
But of course, just to play to their base secretly they have included the rule if you have bank account. After all, none of that is the federal reserves problem dontcha know….If you’re accidently too poor to have a bank account, that’s the states problem, you shouldn’t be living here. Go move to Canada, ya lazy bum!
