On Wednesday night, supporters gathered in 50 states at over 1600 vigils. Moveon.org says this was the largest event that they’ve ever helped to organize. A photo slide show has been created with some of the best vigil photos from across the nation. Read comments from people who attended the vigils. “Our candlelight vigil at Camp Casey was beautiful. There were hundreds of people here and we are hearing that hundreds of people were involved in vigils around the country. We at Camp Casey are so amazed and gratified that there were almost 1700 vigils around the country.”
-Cindy Sheehan, Crawford, Texas MoveOn has also created an interactive national map of all the vigils. |

Yea, what a huge success! The pix are beautiful and remind me of the real America. Thanks .
Wow! I looked at the map of vigils…awesome! Every single state! Some had hundreds of people, some had a handful. All came together for Cindy.
And seriously, I wish I could thank the ONE person in Kodiak Island County, Alaska who held a vigil alone. That is beautiful.
And that person wasn’t really alone of course….being part of the whole big wide wonderful event!
With Plato Photo Slideshow, thousands of pictures from holidays, landscapes, wedding or family parties can now be enjoyed by a creative photo sildeshow.
