On today’s BradCast, it’s guest host NICOLE SANDLER with a new take on a holiday tradition. December 23 is the holiday known as Festivus. One of the ways of celebrating Festivus is with an “airing of grievances,” something I was able to put into practice with both of today’s guests.
My first guest is 2020 Democratic hopeful TOM STEYER. I was given ten minutes with him on Friday, the day after the last debate. Ever since he threw his hat in the ring last summer, I’ve been critical of his plans to spend $100 million on what I perceive as a quixotic, ego stroking campaign, and have suggested that he use that money to build a progressive media center so our voices can be heard on the public airwaves again. I used our ten minutes together to tell him exactly what I thought; to air my grievances, as it were.
My second guest is former Congressman ALAN GRAYSON of Florida. He and I used to be friendly acquaintances. That all ended four years ago when I called him out on the air for his endorsement of Hillary Clinton while Bernie Sanders was still in the race. Grayson released a new book last week, High Crimes: The Impeachment of Donald Trump. Of course we talked quite a bit about the book and about Trump, but not before I aired my grievances with him over the way we left things four years ago.
So, Happy Festivus and Happy Chanukkah… and stay tuned, Christmas, Kwanzaa and New Years celebrations are just around the corner.

Alan Grayson was a fine, strong Progressive who was primaried right out of the Democratic Party in a race Obama took a personal interest in ( he steered money and support to Grayson’s opponent, who lost the regular election to a GOPer).
Now, in similar fashion, the mainstream Democratic Party in California is going all-out to defeat Cenk Uyger, a strong progressive who wants to shake things up and be a truth-teller in Congress (as Grayson was).
IMO, those touch-screen machines the mainstream Dems (led by Alex Padilla) are installing all over California——-You know, the ones Brad calls a “totally unverifiable and hackable voting system”—–They will be used, I believe, to stop Cenk in the primary.
Ofcourse, we won’t be able to tell for sure, because there are no exit polls that release raw data anymore. How convenient!
But if Cenk manages to lead in pre-election polls, but loses on election day, I am going to take the liberty of saying, “I told you so”.
If Cenk wins, I must admit, my theory will be blown to pieces (and I would be joyous were I to be proven wrong on this).
I NEVER enjoy it when my more pessimistic predictions comes true.
I dearly hope I am wrong.
Correction:
Grayson was primaried out of the *Senatorial* race against Mario Rubio.
Cenk will join me on both my show and the Bradcast next week, either Monday or Tuesday 12/30 or 31. Stay tuned!
Nicole – thank you for your valiant attempt at trying to enlighten Tom Steyer. He’s sitting on a goldmine that could be used to obliterate hate media; instead, he chooses to squander it on marketing himself as the answer to all our problems. If only wisdom could be equated with cash.
