Sure, Brad and Desi can take the week off from The BradCast. It’s a holiday – how big a news week can it be?
So much for that. Your guest host this week is me, Angie Coiro, and right up front I’ve gathered various reactions and opinions on North Korea’s claim to have successfully tested a missile that could hit Alaska. More headlines: the American Enterprise Institute (!) has found that the gender pay gap has tripled since Trump moved into the White House – it’s 37% compared to the national 17%; accusations of CNN’s “blackmail” of a “15-year-old” ex-Redditor turn out to be wrong in both senses; and Rep. Maxine Waters has some deliciously spicy words for HUD’s Ben Carson. And White House aides are – not surprisingly – nervous about Trump’s pending meeting with Putin.
Trump’s EPA got dinged by a DC federal court, leaving intact for the moment President Obama’s plan to curb oil industry methane emissions. I talked with Jane Mayer not too long ago, about how demonstrably false “science” funded by dark money ends up part of mainstream dialogue, eventually yielding battles just like this. She discusses too the influence of Steve Bannon in the White House, and how investigating the Kochs compromised her own safety.
Finally, taco salad + Queen Victoria + Chris Christie = revelations about America’s class system. You’ll just have to listen.

Just for myself,
I fear American Neocons more than I fear Russia or North Korea.
Some great news here that should give hope:
https://www.thenation.com/article/the-trump-administrations-voter-suppression-plans-are-backfiring-badly/
So what, Trump is …
“requesting sweeping voter data, including Social Security numbers, party affiliation, criminal backgrounds, and military history”
Have anyone of you here on this blog bothered to looked at the NGP_VAN files? Then out of the few of you whom even know what I am talking about, how many looked at the tables in those files? Because I can tell you right now there’s a lot more than that in the NGP_VAN files. There was enough information to walk into a room with someone knowing more about them they they know themself and all with the intent of getting the wallet whipped out for a great big donation to Bernie, but then the NGP_VAN exploited the data and redirected the money to Clinton. The NGP VAN drives around with a DATABASE in a laptop exploiting “donate to Bernie wallets” to the Clinton camp. They know more about the person they interview knows about themself! It’s how they get the huge donations.
I don’t want to hear this progressive nonsense anymore about trump’s voter fraud investigations. Progressive news is a malicious deception, a continuous circus to try to steer the dialog. It’s over though mostly cause you don’t do enough old fashioned footwork anymore.
The SEIU beetles are done, the NGP_VAN files are the Nathan G. Perlman files. Even a dummy like me figured it out these rat line guys running around in vans with no oversight. Don’t come whining to me about voter privacy ever again until you address what I just said.
States refusing trump’s request are “against” election integrity.
They won’t show it cause there’s SOMETHING TO HIDE!
… Un-Trust said @ #3…
Yeah, they are required by law to
keep their voter’s private data away from
from Russia-sponsored trolls.
