On today’s BradCast, guest hosted by Angie Coiro, we track the battle for a Presidential recount in three contested states. A look into the difference between a ‘recount’ and an ‘audit’. How a disinformation campaign by Russia apparently took over hashtags to push false narratives, generated and distributed fake news, and worked overall to undermine Americans’ faith in our democracy.
A quick delve into why Facebook’s profits could take a serious ding if the company really went after fake news.
Then Leland Faust, unapologetic free market fan and author of A Capitalist’s Lament, looks at the decay of financial industry standards over the past forty years, and demands change — even while he decries existing regulations as ineffective wastes of time.
Finally, in the spirit of the season, a small list of things to be grateful for — little glimpses of what America still does right.

is there any way to read the bradcast and not listen to it?
The charge for recount is outrageous. Should be illegal. Except for a small token – $100.00 or the like.
Check it out … Clinton campaign getting into it (Clinton’s Campaign Says It Will Participate In Wisconsin Vote Recount).
We need to stop using the word “recount.” Stein has requested a “hand-count.” This will mark the 1st count of paper ballots by human beings.
Whether the machine tallies were the product of electronic counting or the product of pre-programmed results remains to be seen. (Of course, there’s also the possibility of computer malfunction or other error.)
The “hand-count” will either verify or refute the accuracy of the machine tallies. Either way it is the first occasion where we can state with any degree of certainty that the ballots have actually been “counted.”
I wish they would have included FL in the “recount”…especially the Tampa – Pinellas area, that is a pretty “blue” area and it may have gone red, not likely

After the election theft in 2000… when the U.S. Supreme Court stopped an ongoing recount… the GOP-controlled Florida legislature then implemented a regime of recount rules so bizarrely Kafkaesque that it is literally impossible for a candidate to ask for a recount.
Only the DOJ or SCOTUS can demand a recount in FL… and I don’t see that happening an more than I see the Hillary camp doing anything but trying to cover Hillary’s ass during the recount.

Wow… the F.U.D. flood continues with a “law blog” that appeared overnight with exactly one blog post: a screed that accuses Jill Stein of electoral fraud and tries to scare PA voters away from asking for a recount by accusing any such voters of perjury… a very odd assumption.
But what Ren Jander asserts and
what the Stein recount FAQ says are two
different things:

And the PA difficulties are discussed in various (“real”) news outlets such as CBS
and are, again, somewhat… at odds… with the assertions by Jander:

All of the corporate media, including NPR will focusing on one thing, and one thing only:
A smooth transition to a Trump presidency.
