On today’s BradCast, Congress and the President leave D.C. for the holidays, but not before coming together to pass a huge, bi-partisan(!) spending and tax bill.
Peace on Earth? Not quite, but its a start, as Obama noted in his year end press conference today.
In the meantime, another massive reporting failure from the New York Times (once again) creates confusion for the nation following the recent terror attack in San Bernardino, prompting its Public Editor to call for “systematic change” in the way stories are reported at the nation’s so-called “paper of record”.
The Bernie Sanders campaign files suit against the DNC after being shut out from their own voter database following charges that his campaign inappropriately accessed Hillary Clinton’s voter data after a firewall went down on the DNC’s server. Sanders’ supporters are crying foul against the Democratic Party, just one day before the next 2016 Democratic Presidential Debate (which is, again, being hidden on a Saturday — this one, just before Christmas — and on the same weekend the new Star Wars movie opens.)
And finally, the nation continues to cower in fear — making GOP Presidential candidates very happy, no doubt — as another entire school district gets shuts down on Friday over something even more absurd than what led to the shutdown of the L.A. school system earlier this week. Are we becoming South Park Nation? That news (and much more) at week’s end may suggest as much.

Harper’s is a formidable publication, since 1850, and submissions by Thoreau, Emerson and Melville….solid integrity, honest journalism….for years i pored over Lewis Lapham’s every syllable (with a dictionary close at hand) in awe of his wordcraft and persuasiveness….reminded this biologist that he had nearly been an English major…
Is Hillary oceans better than ANY Republican presidential candidate?….of course…
Does Clintonian mindset (with social progressivism as a dogbone, and military – industrial – financial conservatism as a backhanded slap in the face) make me wanna shove all them corporate motherfuckers down in the penalty box, without a key, til death do us part???….YOU BET YOUR FUCKING ASS…

As the Pope might say, bless you, sir!!!
Greatly appreciated!
You have to love the chutzpah of a campaign that steals, lies, gets caught — then blames the VICTIM of their choice to steal and lie.
Is anybody surprised Bernie’s campaign was up to Nixonian dirty tricks? Bernie’s first campaign was dirty — he came out for the gun lobby and ousted an anti-gun candidate with the NRA’s support. Progressive? Pfft. Bernie voted five times against the Brady Bill and voted to shield gun manufacturers from negligence claims, helping the NRA making the corporate gun lobby the only industry with such protections. That’s not progressive.
All Berniebros do is whine and complain. The media is out to get us, the DNC is out to get us, waaaa waaaaa. Man up, fellas! Hillary had months of unfair press due to the Emailghazi nonsense. She fought back and bounced back, like Americans do. If Bernie can’t handle the heat, he can’t be an American President. Glitch or not, nobody made Bernie’s folks use the glitch to access the data then lie and claim only one user accessed it when really it was four.
Bernie’s data stealing scandal is just more evidence that Bernie is a Pied Piper leading gullible children off a cliff with empty slogans like “Break up the banks!” and “Free stuff for everybody!” Bernie is the Presidential equivalent of a kid running for 5th Grade Class President. So lame.
Hillary should disown all of it by declaring neither she nor the American people care about Bernie’s d—m data breach and she’s staying focused on the issues. The problem is Bernie’s childish cult is focused on crying about the refs and throwing temper tantrums.
Bernie never said ‘Free stuff for everybody!’….i’m paraphrasing here, but the Sanders message is quite simply ‘free stuff for the disadvantaged, the disempowered and the disparaged, to help them out a little (like Jesus would) and NO MORE free stuff for privileged upper class thugs who’ve already absconded with everything not nailed down with 6″ joist fasteners’….a simple, as opposed to simpleton, vision…
And how ’bout them two immigrants at a homeless shelter that i read about, with their baby….the Republicans called them every name in the book….but everyone else calls it…Christmas…
This quote from the fired Sanders staffer isn’t being reported:
It should make everybody uncomfortable that Debbie Wasserman Schultz worked as co-chair for Hillary’s 2008 campaign. She should recuse herself.
I thought all of the Democratic candidates did really well in the debate tonight, but I hope everybody caught what happened in the “Democracy For America” poll the other day, concerning which candidate that organization would be supporting.
DFA was created with the aim of making Howard Dean president in 2004 and I understand it has enrolled around 2 million members since then. Howard Dean has been endorsing Hillary Clinton for 2016, but, being a democratically run organization, DFA allowed it’s members to vote on their preference. I was pleased, (to say the least), at the results.
This looks like an internet flash poll but it’s not. These are actual people voting. I just wanted to make sure everybody saw this. It’s amazing!
Poll results.
Just sent Sanders forty more bucks!
