Great thanks to Peter Sinclair and his “Climate Denial Crock of the Week” last week for plotting this out in a quick video. The parallels between the denialist PR scams, lies, pretend science, spending and attacks by both ‘Big’ industries here are, indeed, striking.
It’s also interesting to see both Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX), the man who apologized to BP after the 2010 Gulf Oil Disaster, and House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), the man who handed out checks from Big Tobacco on the floor of the U.S. House, both playing sleazily similar roles now for Big Fossil Fuel denialism as they did for Big Tobacco denialism back in the 90s…

The video at the bottom of this post gives the sordid history of the marketing of denialism by The Marshall Institute (and now The Heartland Institute).
Via the mass media.
This practice supports the hypothesis of Dr Eugene McCarthy that humans evolved from a hybrid of a male pig and an female chimpanzee:
(Times of India, “Humans emerged from male pig and female chimp, world’s top geneticist says“). Dr. Eugene McCarthy teaches evolution, biology, and genetics at the University of Georgia, USA (His Website).
Actually, the idea that humans are part pig might help explain a lot.
On the other hand, it seems gratuitous to be badmouthing pigs by suggesting a link to us.
We have some pretty solid evidence that just about any cross species mating will produce sterile offspring(if they can produce one at all). I’m all for keeping an open mind to all sorts of possibilities in science but that (so called) geneticist doesn’t give any proof of his claims. And the publisher has taken
some fire for publishing it.
David Lasagna @3,
LOL.
Heartland’s bullshit torn to shreds.

Peter Sinclair at Climate Denial Crock of the Week:
“Reposting because in the space of the last few days, this video, posted just before Thanksgiving a few weeks ago, has become my most watched video, closing in on 100,000 views.
The piece took off after it was posted first on BradBlog…”
