I’ll be hosting KPFK 90.7 FM’s screening of the must-see documentary Shadows of Liberty on Saturday, 9/28 at 4:30pm here in Los Angeles at the Downtown Independent Theater (251 S. Main St.).
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker, Jean-Philippe Tremblay and a panel of familiar (and excellent) names, like Jason Leopold of Al Jazeera, Peter Scheer of KPFK’s TruthDig Radio and Desi Doyen of The BRAD BLOG’s Green News Report.
More details and ticket info here…
Here’s the trailer if you haven’t seen it in a while, or ever. (NOTE: I’m in the film briefly, but it’s excellent anyway!)…

This looked like an interesting informative movie event. Regretfully a miss.
…OUTSTANDING documentary with an amazing panel of big-brains after. There was so much to this documentary I thought I knew and didn’t. Excellent commentary from Brad and Desi – a joy to see them work the crowd.
Great job, you two. Pleasure to see you. Keep up the great work.
It *is* great work – tho’ much under appreciated and hardly lucrative.
(PS Brad-villians – I highly recommend finding a way to support this documentary. Who remembers all the details of FLIGHT 800? I, for one, did not – even where I make that kind of hooey my daily news diet. I’m pretty sure I’ve blocked most of what I never wanted to know.)
Great to see you yesterday, JD! Thanks for coming by! And thanks to everyone else who did as well! Great turnout and a really fun event (at least for me, anyway! 🙂
