I wonder if Brad has noticed that in the “fake” IRS scandal, Carter Hulls testimony (a long serving IRS tax law specialist) has implicated Lois Lerner and also the office of the Chief Counsel (headed by William Wilkins an Obama appointee) in the increased scrutiny of applications for tax exempt status by groups Obama refers to as enemies….

   I wonder if Brad has noticed that Elizabeth Hofacre of the Cincinnati office (one of the “rogue” agents who was tossed under the bus) has testified that she was directed to forward the conservative organizations applications to Hull. Who then forwarded them to first Lerner then directly to Wilkins office. She also testified that she was directed to forward progressive organizations applications into the normal review process ….

2. Of course I noticed all of that, Wingnut Steve. Save for your last sentence, it was all in the original IG report that kicked off the pretend “scandal”.

   That is true, no matter how many times Issa recycles the same nonsense, and no matter how many times you gullibly fall for it.

   But you and Issa, by all means, should keep choking that chicken! I’m sure there are quite a few people out there yet to be disinformed and/or, like yourself, always disinformed about such things!

   You are beginning to cross a line, my friend. While you are welcome to hurl personal insults at me (but not at other commenters), as you like, as per our rules here, insults are one thing. Charging me with “lying” is quite another thing, and its a Rubicon you do not want to cross unless you are able to back up that charge. That gets closer to the posting of knowing disinformation, which is not allowed here. So you better be real damned careful about it if you want to continue posting here.

   Please consider that your very serious warning.

   Yes, it was in the original IG report, as I said in my previous comment when, again, I was trying to encourage you to not be a stooge played by Issa. But it seems you are fully drunk on his kool aid now, and willing to be a patsy for whatever bullshit he wants you to buy into.

5. Just wanted to thank Wingnut Steve for his polarized accusations. Otherwise I would never have noticed the articles referenced in Brad’s response (David Weigel at Slate and Carol Liebau at Townhall).

   Also, as soon as my next paycheck clears I’m going to donate a few extra bucks to Brad Blog because that’s how responsible journalism happens.

6. According to slate what came out was old news, Hull took his concerns to the Chief Counsel in 2011. According to Hull last week, he was directed to forward all of the conservative applications which were in the review process directly to Wilkins office. What Hull testified to last week isn’t even close to what came out in the IG report. Not even in the same ballpark.

   I understand that I have been a bit edgy lately and sometimes forget to mind my manners, and I apologize for that. But what you say the IG report says, and what it actually says are two very different things

7. President Obama could not steal a dime during the 2012 election. It was the GOP who were determined to steal the election just as they did for that incompetent and sorry Bush who did steal the election.

8. I really get riled up by the stupidity of the GOP and those who fall for the lies and hate constantly coming from republicans. They are never honest and they want these lies of theirs to be believed. But how stupid do people have to be to believe things that border on crazy and only for very dumb people and lunatics.

   Not up on the facts between your disagreement with Brad but your statement:

   …was honest and, quite frankly, refreshing. We all make mistakes, and of course do things we later reqret.

   Politeness – seems to have been overshadowed by all that is taking place but when it appears it is encouraging to read.
