Stephanie Tubbs Jones had died <a href=\"http:\/\/voices.washingtonpost.com\/capitol-briefing\/2008\/08\/confusion_over_tubbs_jones_con.html\">were incorrect<\/a>, however her condition appears to be very serious.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.cleveland.com\/plaindealer\/2008\/08\/stephanie_tubbs_jones_in_criti.html\">Cleveland Plain Dealer<\/a> at about 1:30 p.m. EDT:<\/p>\n<div class=\"media\">Democratic U.S. Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones, the first black woman to represent Ohio in Congress, had a brain hemorrhage and was in critical condition with limited brain function, a doctor said Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Tubbs Jones, 58, suffered the hemorrhage while driving her car in Cleveland Heights on Tuesday, said Dr. Gus Kious, president of Huron Hospital in East Cleveland. The congresswoman had been driving erratically and her vehicle crossed lanes of traffic before coming to a stop, police said.<\/p>\n<p>The hemorrhage was in an inaccessible part of the congresswoman&#8217;s brain, Kious said during a news conference. A team of doctors who evaluated her determined she has limited brain function.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Update 4:31 p.m. PDT:<\/strong> The Associated Press and C-SPAN are reporting that <a href=\"https:\/\/bradblog.com\/?p=6292\">Rep.
