Last Thursday after the bombings in London, Gibson appallingly said<\/a>, “This is why I thought the Brits should let the French have the Olympics — let somebody else be worried about guys with backpack bombs for a while.”<\/p>\n That, the day after he’d said about the choice to hold the Olympics in London in 2012: “If they had picked France instead of London to hold the Olympics, it would have been the one time we could look forward to where we didn’t worry about terrorism. They’d blow up Paris, and who cares?”<\/p>\n Gibson, irony-of-ironies, wrote a book<\/a> recently attempting to answer the question of why the world hates America. As far as we know, however, he didn’t include a chapter simply entitled “Me”.
