An example or three of that on today&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/BradBlog.com\/BradCast\"><i>BradCast<\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Among today&#8217;s many stories&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cowardly <b>Mike Pence<\/b>&#8216;s attempt to avoid testifying about <b>Donald Trump<\/b>&#8216;s January 6th <strong>insurrection<\/strong> to Special Counsel <b>Jack Smith<\/b>&#8216;s grand jury is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/03\/28\/politics\/mike-pence-grand-jury-testimony\">denied<\/a> by a federal judge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Yet another white Republican in <b>Florida<\/b> is <a href=\"https:\/\/floridapolitics.com\/archives\/598131-alachua-county-republican-arrested-for-voting-illegally-in-2020\/\">charged<\/a> with <strong>election fraud<\/strong>. Yet again, he was not arrested at gunpoint on camera and hauled to jail like the people of color who Gov. <b>Ron DeSantis<\/b> ordered <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tampabay.com\/news\/florida-politics\/2022\/10\/18\/body-camera-video-police-voter-fraud-desantis-arrests\/\">rounded up<\/a> before last year&#8217;s election, even though they had no idea they had voted unlawfully. The white Republican voter turned himself in to authorities at his own convenience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Our corrupt, stolen and packed rightwing <b>U.S. Supreme Court<\/b> majority has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/03\/27\/politics\/kansas-racial-gerrymandering-supreme-court\/index.html\">declined to review<\/a> a ruling by the state Supreme Court in <b>Kansas<\/b> which found that intentionally discriminating against minority voters was just fine, after state Republicans <strong>gerrymandered<\/strong> Kansas City by cutting it into two different Congressional districts in order to dilute the power of black voters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>In <b>Arkansas<\/b>, voters have repeatedly made clear through recent rejections of GOP ballot initiatives, that they really <i>really<\/i> oppose making it more difficult for citizens to put stuff on <strong>statewide ballot initiatives<\/strong> and see it adopted by voters. So now, Republicans in the state legislature, giving the finger to voters, have  simply <a href=\"https:\/\/boltsmag.org\/arkansas-republicans-attack-direct-democracy-ballot-initiatives\/\">passed a new law<\/a> to make it virtually impossible for Democrats to place measures on the statewide ballot. AR&#8217;s new democracy-hating Republican Governor, <b>Sarah Huckabee Sanders<\/b>, happily signed the measure which, on its face, seems to blatantly violate the state&#8217;s own Constitution. The League of Women Voters of Arkansas and other fans of democracy are now suing to block what the League&#8217;s President accurately describes as &#8220;an attack on direct democracy.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The 28-year old shooter in Monday&#8217;s <strong>mass shooting<\/strong> &#8212; the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunviolencearchive.org\/reports\/mass-shooting\">130th of the year<\/a> so far &#8212; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/live\/2023\/03\/28\/us\/nashville-school-shooting-tennessee\/the-28-year-old-assailant-used-three-guns-that-had-been-purchased-legally-officials-say?smid=url-share\">reportedly<\/a> purchased <strong>SEVEN weapons from five local guns shops<\/strong> in <b>Nashville, Tennessee<\/b> before using at least two of them to kill three 9-year olds and three adults at a private Christian elementary school. All of that while the assailant was said to have been under a doctor&#8217;s care for an emotional disorder, according to the Nashville police chief. Seven guns, at least two of them semi-automatic assault weapons, and none of it triggered any red flags to authorities. Nonetheless, Republicans in Congress today, according to media reports, still lack the courage to support <i>any<\/i> new gun safety laws that might make such massacres less likely or more difficult. They are, as Rep. <b>Ted Lieu<\/b> (D-CA) correctly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=C7YzXHi1I1M\">noted<\/a> today, &#8220;cowards&#8221;.  <i>AND PLEASE NOTE<\/i>: This is not a problem with &#8220;Congress&#8221; or &#8220;lawmakers in D.C.&#8221; The problem is <b><i>Republicans<\/i><\/b>. Period. They do not want to make it more difficult to murder people, while Democrats do. It&#8217;s as simple as that.
