Silly me. Perhaps my mistake was in somehow thinking the Trump Era had ended. [<i>Audio link to full show is posted below this summary.<\/i>]<\/p>\n<p>In any event, among the many stories covered on today&#8217;s show before we opened up our lines to listener calls on all of them&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hey, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/live-updates\/kansas-city-chiefs-defeat-philadelphia-eagles-super-bowl-lvii\/\">that<\/a> was some <b>Super Bowl<\/b>, eh?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Over the weekend a total of three <b>&#8220;unidentified aerial objects&#8221;<\/b> were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2023\/feb\/13\/what-do-we-know-about-the-four-flying-objects-shot-down-by-the-us\">shot down<\/a> by the U.S. military over North America by <b>President Biden<\/b>. One off the frozen coast of Alaska, one over Canada (shot down at their urging), and another in Michigan over Lake Huron. None of the objects, according to U.S. officials, were similar to the much larger spy balloon from <b>China<\/b> recently shot down off the coast of South Carolina. So, what were they exactly? And should anybody really be concerned about it? We discuss.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>In far more important news, there was also another flurry of activity over the weekend regarding the discovery of mishandled <b>classified documents<\/b>. It began on Friday, when a consensual FBI search of former Vice President <b>Mike Pence<\/b>&#8216;s home in Indiana <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2023\/02\/10\/1154177170\/mike-pence-fbi-search-home-office\">turned up<\/a> another classified document. But that story only served to district from the <i>hugely<\/i> important news that not only were more classified and stolen documents found in <b>Donald Trump<\/b>&#8216;s possession (where well over 300 such documents, including thousands of pages marked classified, have been found to date), but in this case, at least one classified document was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/02\/10\/politics\/trump-classified-records-laptop\">discovered to have been<\/a> <b>digitized onto a notebook computer and a thumb drive<\/b>. Even more disturbing: the notebook on which the document was found <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/trump-team-turns-item-marked-classified-doj-sources\/story?id=97038100\">wasn&#8217;t even <i>at<\/i> Mar-a-Lago<\/a>. It was, reportedly, in the possession of a still-unnamed aide working for Trump&#8217;s main fundraising arm, the <b>Save America PAC<\/b>. If the documents stolen by the disgraced former President were electronically scanned, as appears to be the case, and copied to thumb drives and computers, that opens up a whole new potentially <i>very<\/i> troubling ball of wax in Special Counsel <b>Jack Smith<\/b>&#8216;s ongoing criminal investigation into the documents recovered at Mar-a-Lago. It was also reported, as part of the weekend news flurry on this, that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2023\/feb\/12\/trump-was-issued-subpoena-for-folder-marked-classified-evening-briefing-discovered-at-mar-a-lago\">Trump received<\/a> yet another subpoena for those newly discovered documents last month and that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2023-02-11\/trump-lawyer-in-mar-a-lago-search-appeared-before-grand-jury?sref=6et1qv7R\">two more of his attorneys<\/a> testified in January before Smith&#8217;s federal grand jury.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On Monday, a judge in Atlanta <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2023\/02\/13\/1152613793\/report-decision-georgia-grand-jury-trump-2020-election-interference\">announced<\/a> that parts of a recently written <b>Special Grand Jury report<\/b> &#8212; including what he described as &#8220;a roster of who should (or should not) be indicted, and for what, in relation to the conduct (and aftermath) of the 2020 general election in <b>Georgia<\/b>&#8221; &#8212; will be released to the public this week. Fulton County Superior Court Judge <b>Robert McBurney<\/b> said in his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.documentcloud.org\/documents\/23608443-fulton-spgj-jurys-final-report\">8-page order [PDF]<\/a> today that the introduction and conclusion of the report, as well as one section on witnesses believed to have lied to the Special Grand Jury, will be released on Thursday.  None of the sections to be released this week, according to McBurney, include names of those who could soon be indicted. The report was created by the Special Grand Jury convened by Fulton County District Attorney <b>Fani Willis<\/b>. She had sought their advice on whether to bring charges against the former President and other co-conspirators in his attempt to strong-arm Georgia officials into stealing the 2020 Presidential election. At a hearing <a href=\"https:\/\/bradblog.com\/?p=14535\">three weeks ago<\/a>, she explained that her office opposed the release of the report at this time out of concern for fairness to those who may soon be indicted. She said at the time that charging decisions were &#8220;imminent&#8221;.
