The BRAD BLOG’s own Brad Friedman and other Election Integrity advocates spoke at the historic Joint Informational Hearing Discussion Of Problems Faced By Voters At The 2008 Presidential Primary Election held in Los Angeles on Friday (Brad covered one aspect of the hearing on the L.A. County “Double Bubble” ballot debacle quickly last week; our full body of coverage on the matter is posted here). However, Brad almost did not get a chance to say his piece as the Sergeant-at-Arms almost tossed him out of the hearing on multiple occasions for applauding (video below, 2:20):
Despite his “disruptive” antics, Brad was eventually allowed to speak to the panel about the Los Angeles County “Double Bubble” problem (video below, 2:23)
More video from the Election Integrity advocates’ testimony at last week’s hearings follows below…
Sheri Myers, who is an election protection activist and author of Cheated! A Graphic Novel About The 2004 Election, wants some accountability (2:08):
Riverside County election integrity guru and friend to The BRAD BLOG, Tom Courbat, mashed together a video of his own evidence-laden testimony at the hearing (7:25):
Ricco Ross is an actor, a leading progressive Los Angeles based activist and the famous owner of the impeachmobile (4:08):
Activist Melanie Magruder delivers the testimony of actress and election integrity advocate Mimi Kennedy (2:00):
The BRAD BLOG friend Michael Jay (4:27):
California Senator Jenny Oropeza, who was an amazing advocate for election integrity throughout the day, told Fox11 News after the hearing that she is “absolutely committed” to fixing the election problems seen in the primary before the November election. Later she added that, “We are going to stay on top of this like white on rice” (2:13):
UPDATE: Video (6:51) is now available below of Kim Alexander’s excellent testimony at the hearing on Friday which Brad elaborated on in a previous post:

Dude was hasselin’ ya Brad.
Didn’t you notice the smirk when he walked away the first time?
He was looking at someone at the same time
You were singled out man like “white on rice”, lmao
Next time, whip out them (fake) CIA credentials and tell them to fuk off
Brad! OUTSTANDING… was that burly guy asking you to put mittens on, or whut?
OUTSTANDING. OUTSTANDING.
It’s pretty obvious that Sergeant At Arms had a thing for Brad…
Hand clapping = toe tapping?
Yeah, we know why *he* wanted to get Brad out of that room… 😉
Brad! OUTSTANDING . . .
That was amazing. Jumped out of my chair when it looked like he was gonna put his hands on you. Don’t want you taking the lumps for the vanished fourth estate. (Where WAS the local press, by the way? Hiding behind the potted plant?)
What a lightning rod you are, Brad, for REPORTING STUFF like you do. A regular toe-tapping, hand clapping, applause inciting, impartial and responsible, well-sourced n bona-fide JOURNALIST. No WONDER you were almost man-handled.
Great work, Alan! Thank you so much for getting this video posted POST HASTE. Amazing turnaround for high urgency matter.
There’s a lot of great stuff here, and I hate to dwell on it, but that was some kind of SET-UP, and it should have been persued a little harder.
They were trying to do SOMETHING there. Maybe they were hoping you would go “don’t taze me bro” on them and they could discredit you. This was a PROVOCATION.
You handled it well. It was wonderful that the audience started clapping while you were being reprimanded, as it SHOULD have made the point moot.
Did you ever find out who put this goon up to this pathetic task? This guy was so RETHUGLICAN OPERATIVE it wasn’t even funny.
You Rock Brad!
Thanks for sticking up for election integrity, you are a true American patriot!
(so why did that guy keep hassling you?)
Well done Brad. America has been served. Amurka has been exposed.
What a guy !
When I see people like Brad putting it on the line I know there is hope .Your mum and dad should be proud ,what an amazing job their done .
Freedom isn’t free .

I wonder, do you think these cops that hassle people at public events just study all of our pictures before the event so they know who to pick out, or do they have to ask someone that knows the target?
It’s hard to get both muscles and brains in the same body.
Yikes, I didn’t see the original video of the guy hassling Brad. (something was wrong with the video, overloaded website or something)
Brad needs some bodyguards. People to watch his back from the corruption. I’ll happily volunteer if he’s in Sacramento, but you ain’t gonna get me to wear a suit or cut my hair, I’ll happily ponytail it….
That bastard needed to be backed the hell off. So Brad can think and be prepared. When you catch people off guard it’s easy to bounce them out of a venue.
I only know this cause I do a lot of venues and I seen a fair share of trouble.
It’s like say some rock band is getting ready to play and some asshole is screwing with the lead guitarist cause he’s a small guy and away from the band. I’ve seen this happen before. Why the public allows it is cause they are chicken shit.
I am probably big enough to take that dude right out of the picture. On the other hand what the hell is the world coming to if this crap is allowed to happen. Someone in the threads above said something about “Don’t Tase me Bro” and that is quite fitting.
I am all for being civil man, but this is a perfect example of bullshit fascism. How far are we going to let it go?
BRAVO TO ALL YOU GREAT FOLKS, BRAVO!!!
Brad Pulitzer Friedman, sounds good huh?
… Ancient maybe a Nobel Prize for advancing Democracy .
mick
Yeah Mick, for the world to see. America getting its own democracy straight!
911 must see
make it viral
Hey Mick, in confluence with the EI sucess, I’ll send that out.
On another note, one of the best damn men I’ve ever known with a fillet knife on a fishin boat was a Kiwi. Know anybody that lives in Kodiak?
“Know anybody that lives in Kodiak?” afraid not Ancient.
