Today Election Assistance Commission (EAC) commissioners met before the House Financial Services and General Government Appropriations Subcommittee to answer questions about how they have been spending taxpayers’ money. One Congressman, Maurice Hinchey (D-NY), asked the commissioners about their HAVA mandated duties as a “clearinghouse.” The commissioners who responded, again, denied their responsibility to warn anyone of voting machine problems. They claimed that they just don’t have the staff or funds to do the job. I need to point out to the commissioners, some of whom read DVN, that I am the compiler, writer, editor, and publisher of DVN and it doesn’t take a dime of taxpayers’ money to do what I do. All they need to do is to forward DVN out to election officials across the country and their mandate would be met. If that’s too hard, I already send them reports of voting system failures every time they appear and ask them to forward them on to others who may need the information. All they need to do is to pass on the information as I request. Job done and the taxpayers don’t pay anything for warnings that voting machines may have failed in one state and that failure may happen on the same machines used elsewhere in the nation. I guess it is easier to ignore problems and hope they just go away. It’s easier, anyway, until you have to go before Congress and Congressman Hinchey begins demanding answers.

That story, and the rest of today’s voting news, all linked below (at no expense to the tax payers)…

  1. Election law covers all aspects of any presidential election. Right? So the supreme election law is the US Constitution. Right?

What about this part of the US Constitution:

    No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President;

(Article II, Section 1). Do they even ask?

    Evidently republicans don’t care.

Some say it is clear (e.g. Mike “Miracle Man” Huckabee) that Senator McCain is not a natural born citizen because he was born in the Panama Canal Zone in 1936.

  2. The eac has been doing the exact same thing as judge fuller in the Siegelman case, stalling hoping too many people won’t notice their gop lead corruption. Hey dipshits, THE TRUTH IS OUT IN A HUGE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We true Americans will offer you a place in the life boat regardless of your heinous crimes should you choose the peace train.

  3. Diebold. E-voting machines.
    Keeping us safe from democracy.

My own bumper sticker creation is proudly displayed on Dredd’s and my vehicle.

  4. Hey Dredd’s Girlfriend, GREAT bumper sticker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe you should copy right that…nay, I get the feeling you do it for the same reason as me, sheer unadulterated truth! No religious pun intended. Thought you may enjoy this:

Funny, how the Britts are now just a wee bit more free than US now, huh? Yusuf is not allowed in usa anymore, terrorism over culture an all that CRAP!

  5. The Britts may or may not be more free than the US now, but one thing is for sure the USAF won’t be accessing the Bradblog anymore.

AFNOC has imposed bans on all sites with “blog” in their URLs, thus cutting off any sites hosted by Blogspot. Other blogs, and sites in general, are blocked based on content reviews performed at the base, command and AFNOC level

Switching gears, is anyone planning a way to avoid getting caught with worthless US dollars?
What exactly are you watching? Is it the $US, if so what is the number you are waiting for (is it 70? I think it’s at 73.72 now) And where will your money go once you dump? Foreign Investment? Are you going to GOLD or what?

    Who is stealing our money?
Is it Bush, the Federal Reserve, the treasury printing money? Or what? Doesn’t it feel like half your money is gone? Who has done this to us?

Predicted 200 Bank Failures? Somewhere I heard this in the news (couple places)
Anyone have plans available, to do to not get caught up in it like the last Savings And Loan scandal theft? Anyone have a list of the banks predicted to fail?
What can we do to track down the stolen money and hunt and track down those responsible this time.

  6. Phil asks, “Who is stealing our money?” well for starters from that article alone is mentioned:

“Obviously, DoD [Department of Defense] can decide what internet content should be filtered — they spent billions on the IT architecture and billions more to maintain it.”
Then there’s this nugget also from the article, “The Air Force recently launched an $81 million marketing campaign to convince lawmakers and average citizens of its relevance in today’s fights. By making it harder for troops to blog, an Air Force officer says, the service had undermined “some of their most credible advocates.”

And don’t even get me started on the secret covert military spending budget. And how about the GAO officer they continually ignore who keeps pointing out all the waste and fraud by our lovely contractors we’ve out sourced the military itself for?
Then, don’t forget about the 2.3 TRILLION dollars rumsfeld announced the day before 9/11 that no one has followed up on. After that, if you can stomach it, check out this interview on Democracy Now with a Nobel laureate and Harvard ecomnics professor:

Sorry to bare such bad news on a Friday, but every day people are uniformed is another day we can’t afford!

  7. Hey whoaaah, I just watched The Corporation on Link TV (I think you can also rent it as a dvd, but not sure), and suffice it to say, there’s another who’s stealing our money. I think its time to change the laws that give them the same rights as a human being which they obviously are NOT! Get LINK TV, real information the msm ain’t giving you!!!!!!!
