Women serving in the military today are unlikely to share General Petraeus’ rosy outlook given during his “Surge” testimony before Congress today. Because, as NOW on PBS reported last Friday, government compiled statistics show that nearly 1 in 4 active duty women in the military are victims of sexual assault. By contrast, during the much shorter first Gulf War, “about 15% of the women were raped.”
The problem is compounded because many female soldiers fear the consequences of reporting such incidents. Also, little appears to happen when assaults are reported. According to the broadcast, there were 1,400 investigations of sexual assault last year which have resulted in only 72 court-martials.
No no no… the surge is working! 25% is a small price to pay for demo crappy. Are you blocking the door way?* Do you have a permit for this article?* Let me just say that I personally oversaw the 72 court-martials, and let it be known that the 72 and the 25% didn’t vote for the Führer anyway. We know this because the overseas absentee ballots are no longer secret, praise Jaysus for this.

I can hardly speak; I am stunned. As someone who fought for women’s rights in the military of the 1970’s, I am saddened by the futility of living in an insane world.
When I used to rant about ‘equality’ and ‘acceptance’ back in the day, I was told to ‘be patient’ because these things are slow to change. Thirty years later, I realize that it is me who has to learn acceptance — just accept what John Lennon put so eloquently: Woman is the nigger of the world.
It’s even worse. The women are NOT ALLOWED to posess or use birth control. NO pills. No iud. No diaphram. No condoms.
Oh, male soldiers are allowed to have condoms, but not the women.
THIS RETHUGLICAN and THEOCRATIC GOVERNMENT IS EVIL AND SICK AND MUST BE REMOVED FROM OFFICE FOR THE GOOD OF OUR REPUTATION AS A NATION.
PERIOD.
