    1. re: Shell being carbon neutral in 2050 …

      I realize geology is not a popular field of science, but the fact that conventional oil and gas has peaked is real. By 2050, there won’t be much left to extract, so carbon neutrality will be much easier.

      One of the omissions in the Planet of the Humans movie is it barely mentioned depletion of everything, fossil fuels, minerals, so-called renewable resources (trees, soil, fresh water, fish, etc). The 1972 Limits to Growth study was spot on in predicting where we are at now. Technofix is a distraction from reality.
