Some pretty epic trolling tonight from Dick Cheney and his daughter Liz at Rupert Murdoch’s Wall Street Journal.
Read it at your own peril. These selected quotes oughta be enough to make your head explode all by themselves, however…
- “Rarely has a U.S. president been so wrong about so much at the expense of so many.”
- “Iraq is at risk of falling to a radical Islamic terror group and Mr. Obama is talking climate change.”
- “Terrorists take control of more territory and resources than ever before in history, and he goes golfing.”
- “Only a fool would believe American policy in Iraq should be ceded to Iran, the world’s largest state sponsor of terror.”
- “This president is willfully blind to the impact of his policies.”
- “President Obama seems determined to leave office ensuring he has taken America down a notch. Indeed, the speed of the terrorists’ takeover of territory in Iraq has been matched only by the speed of American decline on his watch.”
- “Al Qaeda and its affiliates are resurgent and they present a security threat not seen since the Cold War. Defeating them will require a strategy—not a fantasy.”
Epic Trolling Accomplished.

Let’s face it, Brad. The only reason this shameless sociopath can appear in person on Fox “News” — as opposed to speaking from inside a prison cell — is that the current President and Attorney General violated their solemn oaths to faithfully execute the law when both refused to investigate and prosecute both Bush and Cheney for war crimes.
Should anyone really be surprised that Cheney, or any other elite who had lied in order to launch the illegal war of aggression when Iraq was invaded in 2003, would repeat the same neocon nonsense now, biting the hands of those who kept them out of prison?
Accurate and to the point. Cheney should have been president.
Absolutely spot on, Mr. Canning. Although I would count it a credit to Obama that he didn’t seek to prosecute the previous administration for it’s crimes, which would have inevitably been portrayed as a witch hunt and spent valuable political capital on… exactly the same divisiveness the GOP have dedicated themselves to anyway. However, nicely done pointing out that Mr. Cheney in no way appreciates the grace he was granted – and returns it by being a complete Dick.
Electromagnetic pulse please. Big one.
It’s amazing to what lengths the architects of the Iraqi invasion will go to re-write history.
Dick Cheney is a Rush Limbaugh clone.
…”Rarely has a [war-mongering MOTHERFUCKING evil lying devious greedy son of a bitch] been so wrong about so much [going all the fuck back to the goddamn NIXON administration with fellow motherfuckers Rove and Rumsfeld, Sieg Heil!!!] at the expense of so many.”
There, that’s better….i couldn’t eat my porridge this morning until i said that….just toss me a sinker, Brad, and i’ll swing for the bleachers when i see Cheney’s face on the ball….
That he can say that and all of humanity doesn’t rise as one and tear him limb from limb is proof there is no justice in this world. I know, don’t give in to hate. But I hate him, truly and profoundly, for what he’s done to us all.
I keep saying this, but the only time I want to see or hear that criminal is when he is dressed in an orange jumpsuit and wearing shackles.
The news media is failing this country. To constantly have the neocons on, not only Fox but all the other channels is just disgusting. It has been proven that they lied us into a war, tortured people and the only ones held accountable were lower rank below corporal. What a two tier justice system we have. I have come to believe that to many people in the U.S. are dumber that a hay rake. As long as we have the right wing hate groups spouting lies with no accountability there is very little hope for this country.
First person to have his heart removed and replaced with a hate-maker. There is no greater enemy of our country and our world than Dick Cheney, may he soon rot in hell.
Cheney is a child of a system that is going more and more amok. So are the next several presidents at least.
When it comes to the most epic of wrong, Cheney retired the fucking trophy.
Epic trolling indeed!
And yet ABC was quick to invite Cheney to appear on “This Week” today. Wow. Cheney was thoroughly trashed across the board for his comments over the past week. Could ABC kowtow to the neocons any further? Disgusting.
Too good not to share: Read on Alternet this morning on “6 Despicable Right Wing Outrages, comment by Lightning Joe (with permission)
Dick Cheney reminds me of a glacier: his opinions frozen in place, the rest of him moving oh-so-sloooooowly downhill, cracks appearing everywhere, the crevasses deepening into the frozen blue depths, waiting for an unwary footstep.
But his character remains always the same, and so do his methods of making his ire known. Day by day, as Global Warming takes its toll, he thins out, diminishes, cracks even more, until it’s dangerous to walk unprotected on his flanks.
And now his devoted daughter has calved off, but she will never achieve his one-time stature, for all her ambitions; because the day of the majestic glacier is sadly over…
She will only melt away, in the heating, acidifying waters.
I disagree w/ all of it. I thought Bush did a great job. They were moving the weapons of mass distruction around so they couldn’t find anything … duh!!
